It could have been cleaner. There were remnants of bugs, dust, and the haphazard lizard. The towels had the mildew smell at times. Bedding was very basic (thin sheet and thin comforter on top). In room coffee not provided

The staff were very kind and accommodating. If it wasn’t for the staff I would have given it lower stars. The food at the restaurant was really good. The hotel is about 200 feet from the ocean which was wonderful.

The facilities were starting to get old. The door was a bit hanging - it was hard to open and close and left a hole big enough for geckos to enter. The coffee machine didn't work well and we couldn't make a good coffee. The breakfast was poor. Even though we were there at 3 pm we had to wait a bit for our room to be ready. All of these were relatively small issues but worth mentioning as the hotel was more like a medium-range rather than cheap.

It was a beautiful oceanfront resort where you can experience the tropical mood. It was a resort of small houses surrounded by tropical trees. You just step out of the front gate and you are on a beautiful Pacific beach with soft sand which dark color we find charming. The rooms were spacious and clean and there was even a coffee machine. It's a bit remote which makes it super quiet and relaxing and means that the beach is almost yours. The staff was very friendly and the service was overall good.

The toilet and plumbing had some minor problems. Signage to find the place was confusing. The hotel still seems to be identified by its old name, so when you arrive you need to ask if this is the right place.

The dinners at the restaurant.

Loved the bungalow style of the hotel. Very quiet and clean. The pool was amazing. The beach is very nice but the waves are quite large and at low tide it’s a long way to the water from the hotel. We did go in the water which is very warm and has a nice sandy bottom without rocks. The beach is almost deserted and very walkable. The sunsets were gorgeous! Staff was extremely nice and friendly, Renzo, Randall and Roberto were great. They put up with our not so great Spanish and made great drinks! The on site restaurant is very nice, the included breakfast was good but both dinners we had there were mediocre. We really didn’t feel like driving anywhere and there are no other options within walking distance.

This hotel is direct on the beach. Very quiet no traffic no noises. Beautiful sunsets and we were lucky to see a sloth. The rooms are spacious and have super comfortable beds and a big bathroom. You have a little patio with a view to the ocean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy checkin and checkout.

Some facilities were pretty worn out or broken. Our room had a window shade/curtain that was broken as well as an inoperable vent fan in the bathroom. Pool area was nice but many deck chairs were slightly or severely broken. Restaurant was fine but food was only mediocre.

For breakfast and dinner you could simply feel the restaurant was understaffed constantly. The waiters were still extremely friendly, but waiting times for food were quite long regardless.

The pool area was great. We really liked the bungalow style room we had, it was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times!

Loved the location of the hotel - it's right on Esterillos Beach, with some amazing sunsets. The pool is nice (a little small, but nice). Gym has great views of the ocean. The rooms have this classic hacienda style, with a really comfortable mattress. Staff were super friendly at reception. The restaurant is outdoors with views of Esterillos beach.

Some broken chairs. Grounds were unkempt in places. Needed some maintenance. Hard to find as the signage was poor. Beeked an ocean view room but really not a view of the ocean.

The hotel tried to overcharge us. We paid in cash for a shuttle driver and the hotel added the shuttle costs to their bill as well (160 USD) It seemed that we were also extra charged in food. Felt like a rip off unfortunately. Also put shower was poorly fixed and very cheaply set up.

Beautiful beach and nice hotel complex, nice staff at the restaurant and front desk. Great pool. Recommend this place for familiar and people who do not care about culture or specifically Costa Rica and it's tradition. Great for resort vacation

It's not a 5 star hotel, so this is just a false statement on booking. They also changed the name. Facilities are a bit worn out, they lack some maintenance. Breakfast is average.
