The hosts were very helpful and provided a pdf of information about the area. Excellent restaurant and beach information. The pool overlooks a tropical forest and swimming is a wonderful way to escape the heat.

The property has a great view over the coastline. Very close to Playa Naranjo harbour and beach. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, with all the necessary amenities for cooking and with an amazing terrace with a beautiful view (we spot a lot of birds). Above all, the owners are amazing people, very kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and special (fresh and homemade food)

Our stay at Hotel La Casa del Conde was an absolute pleasure. Marianne and Kevin, the owners and hosts, greeted us with such friendliness and warmth—their positive energy is truly contagious and made us feel right at home. The place was spotless—super clean and tidy throughout, which we really appreciated. It’s also easy to find, the bed was very comfortable, and the room had both a fan and air conditioning, making it perfect for a restful night. It’s quiet, peaceful, and in the morning, you can enjoy a coffee while taking in the stunning ocean view of the Gulf of Nicoya. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and although we didn’t get a chance to try it, it’s great to know they also offer breakfast. The location is ideal too—restaurants are nearby, and the ferry to Puntarenas is just 5 minutes away by car or a 20-minute walk. We’re grateful for the experience and wish Marianne and Kevin continued prosperity and happiness in their journey. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us! Switchback road a bit rough, but just typical CR. They required cash only so we had to double back to an ATM BUT IT WAS FINE

It was lovely and modern and clean. Breakfast was amazing a great value, loved the hammocks Bed was wry very comfortable. Kevin was quite a host. He offwered an early breakfast which we requested there was a wonderful seafood restaurant that we ate at for lunch prior to our stay and sit out on the water. There was also a wonderful soda where we had a great dinner very close by. Also a close gas station and close to the ferry. Owners helped us with ferry tickets. Pool wasrefreshing and shaded

The only thing that could be improved would be providing sun loungers by the pool instead of chairs

Beautiful property with incredible views. Such a peaceful location. Excellent facilities, including an enormous comfortable bed and good quality bathroom/kitchen. Loved our private terrace too. The hosts were lovely and friendly too.

Don’t be put off by the rough road to the property - it’s only short and worth the effort.

Lovely room, spacious, airy and beautifully decorated. Good air con, nice bathroom, small but practical little kitchenette with a fridge and attractive crockery. Lovely outside space - great view over the selva and the gulf. Marianne prepared delicious fresh and varied breakfasts each morning and even went to the trouble of buying a hairdryer when I asked if there was one available to borrow.

The breakfast was not special. The short drive into the property was a little rough but not a challenge after what we have experienced throughout CR.

A clean, comfortable place to stay. Near many beaches and natural areas, just a few minutes from the Puntarenas ferry.

The rooms have an amazing view and are equipped with everything you may need to have a great stay. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

The road is difficult to see and a little rough but considering Costa Rica has been flooding for 2 weeks how can you complain better that most roads we were on, so considered it to be part of this adventure.

This lodge is beauiful. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Wifi was fast, rooms are amazingly comfortable and the view exceptional. My only question is how can I come back for one more visit.

The view is stunning, Marianne is welcoming. There is only one problem which is the access road really only possible in a 4x4. We had a normal car and slid and bottomed out twice because of the ruts and holes

Not negative, but good to know: the last 500 meters of the drive to the property is a steep, stony gravel road. Should usually be fine with a 2WD, though.

Clean & modern, very friendly (Dutch) owner, 4 dogs & 1 cat (one of the dogs is very interested in cuddles 😊), great view of the sea from above

Nothing to dislike

A unique place to stay. We have travelled around Costa Rica, and this was by far the best place we stayed. Lovely apartment, stunning views. Marianne and Kevin are great host's. Highly recommended staying here.

The room windows were on the west side taking all the afternoon sun and it took a long time for the AC to cool the room. Might be better to have an option to pay through credit card as not many travelers take cash along.

It was an excellent location. The hosts Marianne and Kevin were very nice and helpful. The room was very spacious and I liked the clean bathroom. I was able to have a dip in their cute little pool. Happy to have a tasty breakfast.

Not really conducive to cooking your own meals with minimal appliances. A skillet and an air fryer. But it worked for us.

I'm a remote worker and could have used more reliable internet--we worked it out in the end and I was able to complete a full week of work while there.

Loved hanging out with Marianne and Kevin was delightful! They were amazing hosts and are doing a great job with the property.

The road getting to the site was extremely steep & our rental car limited in pep… No microwave or hair dryer.

Comfortable bed, kind & helpful hosts, nice scenery from area, good breakfast.

Our room faced west on a very hot day and the air conditioning did struggle

Really warm welcome from our hosts. The property is thoughtfully set up and has beautiful views. We were catching a ferry using this stay as an overnight stopover for which it was perfectly placed. The area is quite secluded so ensure you have stocked up with provisions/ food before you arrive. Breakfast was freshly served with a range of options suitable for all.

Beautiful and calm location with a stunning view of the part of the coastline of Naranjo. Well faciliated and carefully picked materials. Very beautiful room and the outside sun bed was plus. Marianne and Kevin were super nice and helpful hosts. Definitely worth the money and a visit!
