Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomYou definitely need a four-wheel-drive to get up the long steep Bendy driveway, which is a couple of kilometres long. We did have one thankfully. the place was faultless.
The hostess was excellent! It was a genuine finca experience with rustic charm. The food was cooked and lovely my wife really enjoyed the horse riding trip. The panoramic views from the lounge bedrooms which were just stunning.

SwitzerlandTo get there you need to deserve it. If you do not have a SUV, you are certain to have dents in your bumpers. Accessibility is then to consider when going there.
As only 2 rooms are offered, we are really few guests at the same time. As a consequence the host offers a great flexibility in their services. That is definitely a plus! Location is also great as quiet and surrounded by nature.

United StatesBeautiful location in the mountains overlooking the valley town of Orosi. Exceptional individualized service with the feeling of home. We also did the optional horseback tour in the afternoon of our arrival, and it is justly named "Wonderlust." This is a beautiful working family farm which offers a special experience.

United StatesWe enjoyed everything
The dinner was fantastic! Our host was extremely personable, she explained everything to us and also told us some history about Finca Queveri (we love history) and the surrounding area. The views were spectacular and we particularly enjoyed our morning hike, as far as we could go (there was quite a storm when we were there and there was a lot of mud making it very difficult to walk). She also told us about the birds in the area and we learned about an app that we downloaded and used the entire time we were in Costa Rica (one month)!! Thank you

United StatesThe drive up and down was unpaved. Generally good condition, no potholes but it’s a gravel road “camino de lastre”. Just drive slow and it’s doable.
Quiet, beautiful view, clean, excellent food, comfortable bed and sofa. The hosts were amazing, happy to chat or leave you in peace. Food was plentiful and can be modified to your preferences. You can ask for coffee, ice cream, fruits, and even freshly caught fish from their river fish pen. The whole place was very quiet and excellent for bird watching. Bookshelves full of books including animal guidebooks and lots of shared space to lounge in, read and chat. WiFi was strong in both the public area and the room. We did horse back riding in the rain and it was so tranquil. The chickens surprisingly don’t make much sound at dawn. The cows live about twenty minutes walk uphill.

CanadaA teeny hard to get to, but the signs and directions were well marked. We were lucky it wasn't raining and we didn't arrive at night but it's well worth the drive.
The view from the top was amazing and the host was the most wonderful kind person. Anything that we asked for she helped us. All the meals were superb.

United KingdomThe hospitality from Gisella & brother Roger were excellent. This is a 100 year old small family run cattle Finca with just three rooms. Gisella catered for our vegetarian diet extremely well and served up lovely meals at both breakfast & dinner. Note there is a track leading up to the property which is better suited for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The views were amazing!

NetherlandsNothing. It was perfect. But a note to travelers: better to take a 4x4, but we managed with an airport van.
Our host were great, very helpful and tried to respond to our requests and went the extra mile. They prepared lunch for us, even though it was not included, and let the kids ride the horses back to their barn, so the kids were very excited. The hotel is small (3 rooms) and our family occupied them all, so we had a nice private stay. Views are beautiful.

GermanyWe had an awesome stay at Finca Queveri. The owner is an absolute lovely woman, very good cook (4 courses dinner with local food) and you can talk to her anytime. We had a nice room with a view all over the valley and the Vulcan Irazu and Turrialba. We went to the barn and our son loved the baby cows and the kind dogs. You can do a trail through the rainforest, watching lots of different birds in the morning and just enjoy life. We really recommend this beautiful place!!

The farm was an amazing place to hike, explore and see the views, hummingbirds, frogs, and fireflies at night! The dinner and breakfast were outstanding - all home- and slow-cooked. The horseback riding was stunning and an absolute highlight for all of us - the trails were breathtaking! We spent a lot of time chatting with the three siblings who run the establishments, and they were such great companions. A highlight of our two-week trip.

United KingdomWhat a special stay we had at Finca Queveri! Gisella and Roger made us feel incredibly welcome and at home immediately. The food was excellent and gave us the opportunity to experience authentic local home cooking. We highly recommend the horse riding tour-Gisella and Roger have some lovely horses and matched us with the horses they felt were most appropriate. They were very calm and easy to ride. Gisella gave us great insight into Costa Rican culture and some tips for the rest of our trip. She really is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond for her guests! The house also has incredible views over the valley and the volcano. We loved our stay! Thank you Gisella and Roger. Emma & James
