The food in the bufet area, only the restaurant was really good , with little food or drink my stomach was very swollen and with air, I have never suffered so much from my stomach.

A nice stay while we were needing to be in the area for a day trip. Food was decent and the staff was friendly. The room was large and comfortable.

After 8 days of hiking in Arenal and Monteverde we were really looking forward to some R&R, so we're really pleased with the honeymoon suit, bed was really comfy and located on the quieter side of the complex away from the main pools and bar where the music is blurring from 10am till 8pm. However, this is not a 5 star but clearly a 4 star hotel. The mini bar is never stacked, merely there to store your own stuff bought from the onsite shop, there is no body lotion or vanity bits, the room is very tired and alot of the plaster was falling off the walls, coffee pots not always replenished and never teabags, adult pool bar only opens at 5pm, so during the day we needed to walk across the complex to the main bar for a drink....many things missing to make this a 5 star, but was pleasant nonetheless

Very nice property, we liked the breakfast, the pool, palm trees and garden surrounding the pools. The best thing was the overall vibe, music, drinks under palm trees by the pool. Really fun.

There was no daytime lounge bar - this is the first all inclusive without such a basic requirement. Also the queuing at the front desk was constant and seemed unnecessary. Queuing for entrance to restaurant every meal time, although not lengthy, was also not a good experience.

The pool and the outside bars (with wine!) were great. The room was lovely. Food was perfectly adequate. The international a la carte had an excellent steak. We liked seeing the iguanas and agoutis too.

Need bar by adult pool open during the day. Need to take more dinner reservations, restaurants were pretty empty. Need more food choices in dinner buffet.

It was impossible to get hold of the reservation team in month, weeks and days beforehand. Confusing emails on incorrect numbers of rooms, threats of cancellations a week beforehand, inability to take payments. This was extremely stressful. Booking.com were slow and contacting the hotel too. We were in Costa Rica not knowing if the booking had been cancelled as per email eventually driving out of our way to the resort mid holiday.

Good, you don’t have many options of restaurants, I reserved a family suite and I got a conventional room, the air conditioner didn’t work as well.

The rooms need a little TLC but were clean and comfortable. The food was average and they did not have the lobster upgrade at both of the restaurants we went to.

The pools were really nice and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the premium package as you were able to get a seated breakfast and lunch, not just the buffet, and your own private pool, snack bar and service.

Our room’s air conditioning was malfunctioning, with no air blowing out. The maintenance staff told us it was set to the standard 23 degrees, but we were puzzled why the device allowed settings below 23 degrees if it couldn’t maintain them. The distance from check-in to our room was quite long, which was difficult as we were traveling with a baby, his wagon, and large luggage. We were assigned to the third floor of Building 3, and the only elevator was out of service due to maintenance. When we asked for a different room with an elevator, we were offered an old room with two small beds far apart, which was not suitable for sleeping with a baby.
