Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandThe drive to the location was a bit hard, fortunatwlly we have a strong car. But it was worth the drive.
The host was really friendly, considered our comfort for example by serving us dinner to our room. The dome we stayed in was comfortable. The area is quiet so it was nice to hear the sounds of nature arround you. We felt peace and was able to disconecr from our busy last days in Costa Rica.

CanadaThis was my favorite part of my trip in Costa Rica. It is magical here and I hope I have that chance to visit again. My only regret is not staying longer. I had the breakfast one morning, which was lovely. The facilities are minimal. This is easily managed if planned for. There is no fridge in the little pod I stayed in, but there is a microwave. The microwave was enough for me to have a couple small meals. People have mentioned more counter space would be nice. I found it good enough. I had my things organized under the bed. Having the travel packing pods was useful. It is remote, and I suggest bringing in your own drinking water. I didn't get sick or anything, but as a precaution, that is my advice. There are lovely outdoor seating areas. I traveled with a small collapsible chair. It was great for this location, as well as when I visited beaches in other parts of the country. There are great knock off versions of the helinox chairs. If you bring one for your trip you won't regret it. This place is very special, and I offer these little tips so that you can enjoy this accommodation as much as I have. I cannot express enough how beautiful and magical the location is with the surrounding jungle covered mountains. For context. I am a solo female traveler. I felt very safe in this remote location. I had a suv rental from Adobe (very excellent car rental). I didn't need the 4wd, but had it been raining, then I likely would have used it a bit. Definitely need the high clearance on the vehicle. There was only 1 spot that required the clearance when i visited. I used the downhill assist when driving into the valley. That was very useful, and easier on the brakes. Driving back from Santa Elena in the dark was fine for me. Thank you to the hosts for having such beautiful and unique accommodations.

United StatesThis place was very expensive to get to from town, so wouldn't recommend without a car. It cost me $20USD each way, which was the going rate after checking with a couple of different taxis/drivers. So you couldn't exactly just pop into town for the day without spending a fortune. Also, while the kitchen was great, it would be amazing if they could put up a clear plastic screen or something behind the kitchen (the wind and rain was usually coming from this direction). It was very windy and rainy while I was there, and I got absolutely soaked every night trying to make dinner, which wasn't much fun. Stove also didn't work properly, took half an hour to heat up and only one element worked, probably from being wet all the time lol. Would also be great if they could seal the domes a little better. There are big gaps everywhere and the place gets absolutely filled with bugs even with the door shut. The floor was like a bug and spider graveyard after one day.
Very cool experience - I always wanted to stay in a dome, but usually they are crazy expensive. This was very affordable. Bed was comfy, shower was hot and it was great to have a kitchen. Thank you also Natalya (and her husband I think it was, didn't catch his name) for the wonderful breakfasts. Super nice watching the fireflies out of the dome at night and sunrise in the morning. Coffee was amazing, best coffee I think Ive ever had!

United KingdomNothing. But we recommend having a 4wheel drive vehicle to get to the property as the road is steep and rocky.
Carlos and his wife are superb hosts. Their property is beautifully appointed with amazing tropical plants. The dome we stayed in was great. And we loved having dinner here- excellent food.

United StatesGreat views! We saw toucans fly by while sitting on the patio on the lawn, saw hummingbirds near our garden, mot mots on the drive in. The Nature is awesome here! Views can’t be beat. Downside is the drive on the bumpy, terrible road. Wayz will get you there, so it’s easy to find, but the drive itself makes you wanna do it only once a day. I wouldn’t wanna be going to and from many times a day on that road. But worth it! We were able to cook dinners in the kitchenette outside, so we didn’t have to leave the beautiful natural surroundings after getting back from a day of hiking. And the bed was really comfortable. But there are bugs, and I got bit while sleeping. Would I stay here again? Yes.

United KingdomOur stay was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The attention to detail in the glamping setup was exceptional—everything was beautifully arranged, clean, and cozy, creating the perfect balance between luxury and nature. One of the highlights was the fantastic dinner—delicious, well-prepared. It truly brought the whole experience together. Whether it was the comfortable accommodations, the peaceful surroundings, or the thoughtful hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway with an outstanding host who takes care of every little detail, this is the place to be! Highly recommend!

Costa RicaA plus would be having an outdoors jacuzzi and a fireplace for the cold. The small pound can become a really great frog sanctuary, and planting more flowers can bring more humming birds and butterflies. However, the location exceeded all my expectations, the mentioned before are just some recommendations.
The location is the most! Would you really want to feel the cloud forest!? This is the closest and most stunning place to feel it! The real Monteverde experience! Location is key. When I realized where I was, just the location exceed all expectations! The host/owner was there to give a really warm welcome and he was so friendly and involve that I felt that this place has a sold!

CanadaNothing that we didn’t like but just to be aware, it is not very close to main streets. The last 400-500 meters are small dirt road. As we were there in February without much rain, it was ok but 4*4 might be must for the rainy season.
Domes are in the valley, very private and have all the basic amenities. They also provided bug spray in the dome as it’s literally in the valley with mountains and trees all around! Even at this location which is bit far from the main town and major streets, there was a food delivery option!

SpainWater is not hot, and we suggested to Carlos to add some hooks to hang things around. He immediately agreed to take up our suggestions.
These domes are really well designed. And they are in the middle of nature, with cows and all kinds of birds around. Carlos is an amazing host, he helped us with everything we needed there in a super kind way. We had a couple of technical issues with the hut, internet was down and we lost electricity but Carlos resolved them within minutes. The little outside kitchen area is very nice to hang out in nature and rest!
