My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer and we had already extended it from 3 to 4 days.

The breakfast options were fabulous. The dinners were excellent. Very fresh, simple, and tasty. The hosts were so accommodating and always wanting to help, it was very comfortable being there. The hosts also set up a birding tour with a local guide and we were able to actually see a quetzal!

The Couple who runs the Lodge is amazingly friendly and polite. The whole Area is very lovely created. Food was very tasty. Many birds ate around the lodges. Everything fantastic...

Fantastic hosts! Norem, Esteban and Valeria made us feel at home right away and went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast and dinner (with the hummingbirds around) were delicious, prepared to the point and with several dishes to choose from. The cabins are all new, very well designed and furnished, the bathroom with steady and immediate hot and cold water supply. A garden with a small trail are in the making and will make spending time in the crisp and clean mountain air even more worthwhile. We can highly recommend Curuba Lodge which became our favorite place in Costa Rica! Tip: Esteban can connect you with a few guides to see the rare and iconic Quetzal birds.

What an amazing place ! The best I've been for the all trip. The bedroom is comfortable and clean, nature is everywhere and the owners are soooo kind. They will cook you a dinner you won't forget ! Better than a restaurant I tell you 😉 And keep eyes open for hummingbirds.

Esteban and his family are the best Hosts ever, we felt very welcome in a wonderful place in the middle of the Rain Forest. Delicious food, a humming bird paradise, a very nice cabin with a heater. Amazing place. We enjoyed every second. Thank you!!

Our stay was exceptional. The cottage was beautiful with new equipment, set in an excellent mountain location. What stood out were the wonderful owners who made us feel incredibly welcome. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of hummingbirds. Too bad we were only here for one day; I could easily imagine staying a few more days. I warmly recommend it.

Loved everything about the place. Nothing negative to say

The lodge was set in beautiful gardens and lovely surrounding area in the mountains. The room was so lovely. Loved the terrace with hummingbird feeder on so we could watch the birds through the window whilst sat in bed. Everything about the place was well thought out, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was really nice and they have a restaurant serving excellent food in the evening. The place is run by a lovely husband and wife team who were very friendly, spoke excellent English and were very interesting to talk to about the local area and life in Costa Rica. They were very attentive to our every need, constantly checking we were happy. We arrived early so parked the car there and went for a walk down the road. We were very impressed that they came to find us and collect us in their car when it started raining hard. They then put on a fire and made coffee for us so we could warm up. They made our last night in Costa Rica very special and we would strongly recommend anyone to stay there.

Our hosts were really amazing, so was the view. The cottage was super clean. You could walk around the area. The food was great! We were happy with everything!

Everything was perfect.

We had such a wonderful stay at Curuba Lodge. It is an absolute gem and a labour of love from the owners. The cabins are very quiet and private and set out in a ravishing garden full of colibris and other birds which is perfect to disconnect. They are nicely decorated, spotless and very comfortable with lots of blankets and a heater to keep you warm. The hosts are super nice,  amazingly attentive and always going the extra mile to assist with your every needs. They gave us great recommendations on local activities (I highly recommend the Quetzales and coffee tours ) and about Costa Rica too. And the food is absolutely delicious, made with products sourced locally. It was our favourite meals in Costa Rica! Thanks again for making our stay truly special!

Staff is great, location is great. You feel like home thanks to the hosts that are very kind and attentive. We loved our stay, you can walk around the the property, listen to the birds in the morning and have great views to the mountain. Lovely place, great breakfast and we just can't wait to go back :)

lovely hosts! They go the extra mile to ensure you have an awesome time. The food is traditional costarrican dishes with very tasty ingredients. They buy from local farmers so you really can taste the quality and freshness. The reflexology foot path is a must!

The road was steep and had large chunks of rocks. I dumped my motorcycle trying to get there. A car should be ok.

Everything about this place was lovely. The hosts were amazing with an excellent dinner and breakfast. Home cooked meals made with love. The cabins are new and very well kept. Lots of blankets and a heater to keep you warm. Although I dumped my motorcycle on the way to the lodge, they went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and recovered. They brought us some Chai tea to help calm my nerves, as well as a first aid kit to help clean my wounds. They even took some cuttings from their aloe vera plant to put on my cut. Such incredible service that was offered and not asked for.

There was nothing to dislike. The only thing I would add is a map or description of the trails in the back and down the hill.

The grounds were very well kept. The family the runs/owns the place were super accommodating.
