Bed wasn’t comfortable

A good value for money, and nice property..good vibe with the pool, restaurant, bar and plants around. I stayed in the most basic room which was bare bones but was just for a night. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Relaxed hotel environment. Plenty of public spaces to read, swim or just relax. Very helpful staff. A couple of restaurants and a small supermarket within walking distance.

I had trouble locking my room.

If it was pretty tasty, and the staff was extremely friendly. Lots of small little nooks in spaces to relax or work quietly. The ceiling fan in my room kept sleeping at a comfortable temperature.

The price and what you get is well balanced You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The people are friendly and help you. lunch/dinner, except Sundays(they are closed): I recommand a Peru restaurant around the corner: super food, for example fish soup. Almost gourmet level. Rainer

I expected the room to be dated because it’s an older property but it could be cleaner. i.e., the shower head is molded and the drain doesn’t work very well. I have to stand in the shower with overflowing water. The towels, bed sheets, and pillowcases could also be cleaner. There was a smell of mold in my room as well.

The staff were amazing! They were friendly and accommodating. The proximity of the property to convenience stores, pharmacies, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars was also great. It is located about 15 minutes away to downtown San Jose. Uber costs between $6-7 which is very affordable.

The premises are due an upgrade which we understand is happening. The place feels a little tired to look at although the vibe is great. We liked the location although you need a cab if you are heading into town.

The staff at the hotel are absolutely lovely and were very generous with their time, knowledge, and cocktail pours! We were made to feel welcome which was great.

Colours was our first desistination in Costa Rica, a surprise trip to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday this year. I chose Colours specifically because it caters to the LGBT+ community and I had read such positive reviews. I highly recommend it! I had wanted to do a little something special to kick off his birthday trip and asked through the Booking.com message feature if I could arrange to have flowers waiting in the room for him. I recieved the warmest response to my request almost immediately and this gesture set the stage for an absolutely wonderful experience with the whole Colours team. The staff was so helpful and genuinely kind beyond any expectations, among other things guiding us on how best to see San José over the two days we were there and helping us to arrange transfer upon our return to the capital after a week of touring the country and transfer back to the airport the following day for our flight home. The team can help you will all kinds of other tour arrangements as well. The property features are great with a nice big pool, lovely bar and restaurant which made breakfast and lunch so convenient. All the meals we ordered there were terrific and made with such care. We spent a total of three nights at Colours - two on our front end and one at the back of our trip. We greatly look forward to our return there again soon. I highly, highly recommend Colours !

Nice place, needs some updating and definitely air conditioning in rooms. Toilets are small and very low. The wifi worked nicely. The people were great. I'll go back.
