Road and rail noise is quite loud and starts early. Not much the hotel can do about that but quite room dependent and not great for light sleepers.

Staff and breakfast were amazing. They even served breakfast early to accommodate our early departure. Beds were super comfy and they offered a refund for one night when some of our group were delayed arriving. Location is great for wandering by foot and there are plenty of food and drink options near by.

We had two rooms, one was just a little too small. While this is not really a 'don't like', guests should be aware that parking is difficult at the place. The hotel offered us a space in their garage, which was a tight, but in the end very acceptable. I recommend travelers to call the hotel in advance to make arrangements.

The family really enjoyed the breakfast. Their bread and coffee are great and the breakfast room is really nice! The staff is very pleasant, and the accommodation is clean. It's very well positioned if you intend to visit the gold museum or the national theater. You can easily reach those on foot.

The decor in the room was a little tired but still comfortable.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, even getting our car fixed whilst we slept! Breakfast was generous and delicious. Great location and very good value for money although cash only.

We stayed at Casa 69 on a number of occasions on our trip to Costa Rica as used it as a base when travelling though San Jose. Such a lovely accommodation close to the centre of San Jose. Beautiful breakfast which sadly we could only enjoy once due to leaving early for trips. Winston was a helpful and attentive host and helped organise taxi transfer to and from airport as well as keeping our luggage when we visited Tortuguero. The rooms were lovely and spacious with nice artwork and decor throughout. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in San Jose.

Staff were brilliant and so helpful exactly what you need when you first arrive in a country. They organised our cabs and really helped us navigate the city. The rooms are spacious and excellent value for money. Most people stay in San Jose to travel through and this is the perfect accommodation to do this. I really recommend. Breakfast was exceptional!!

Right next to the Hotel was a train track and the trains honked loudly when passing by, but they didn't drive through the whole night so we could sleep alright. Also parking isn't possible for bigger vehicles, but they could redirect us to a nearby parking lot with a discount.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. We really loved the decorations inside and outside and plants as well as the great and freshly made breakfast. The room had everything we needed and you have a nice view from the rooftop.

The hotel is a lovely oasis in central San Jose. The large rooms are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is tasty and sets you up for the day. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Winston runs the place and was always quick to communicate before and during my stay in Costa Rica. We used Hotel Casa 69 each night between our tours. Winston sorted transport to and from the airport and we left luggage at the hotel when we visited Corcovado. The hotel is very secure and has banks and restaurants nearby.

Good base to start your CR trip in San Jose. Staff super helpful and very good value for money. Grab a room on the top floor for good views! Breakfast was fantastic (we loved the breakfast music).
