Everything was good!

Beautiful location situated between Tortuguera and la Fortuna. The owners were so friendly and they made a great breakfast and in the evening dinner for us. Great place to relax a couple of days. For the kids they have board games, table tennis, trampoline and animals walking around like goats , sheeps, chickens.

The air conditioner had an error and did not stay on. There was no sign on the road for the Bamboo lodge so we didn't know where to turn.

The dinner was very delicious and authentic. The room was very clean. The birds by the pool were fascinating to watch.

A beautiiful place. it was our second time there and both times we say Monkeys in the trees and beautiful birds. The lightning storm on our second stay was spectacular. Our hosts could not be better. Dinner and breakfast were both lovely.

We had a wonderful close interaction with the monkeys. They came to present their 5 new born, never seen something like that. The bird watching was exeptional, even from the swimming pool we identified 18 different species. Adrian, Diego and Alex are exeptional hosts who helped us find hidden frogs and other animals. It's a really special place where you have a feeling of a Costa Rica that got mostly lost in other tourist places.

Nothing, it was perfect.

Amazing! Diego, his dad, and Alex were so friendly and generous with their time and knowledge of their property and the animals on it. We got to see monkeys, birds, turtles, fish, frogs, and even owls. The room was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The food was very good, breakfast and dinner. Kids spent hours in the pool! Would love to be able to go back some day.

If I have to nitpick anything, strong wifi in the cabins would be nice to have. But honestly, being able to hang out in the dining and pool area (which is in range of their wifi) is probably best anyway with how beautiful it is.

This was our biggest surprise (in a good way) of our whole trip to Costa Rica. My mother and I were nature traveling all over Costa Rica hitting up and down both coasts as well as the traditional central sites. This property was to bridge our final night before heading home from San Jose. We drove from the Limon area on the Caribbean coast and had a quick stop at Frog Heaven (also recommended) at noon before driving to the hotel. We dutifully followed Waze to the property and sat perplexed for a bit before Alex ran to our rescue and opened the driveway gate. Driving up to the parking area, we felt completely transported to a little oasis of nature. There was a lovely pool, lots of animals like goats, turkeys, chickens, etc.. to enjoy while carrying our luggage into the cabin. The cabins are very new and among the most thought out that I have encountered, anywhere. Very clean, comfortable and modern. No need to hunt around for electrical plugs to charge equipment. Its all very easy to find what you need. When we unpacked and headed to the pool area, we found Alex had collected a wheelbarrow full of papayas that he cut in half and placed around in a couple of areas to bring in the wildlife. And Wow... wildlife came in droves. Some of my best bird pictures were taken while suffering in the pool. Too easy. We had only planned on handing out for a little while but ended up staying at the pool area for close to 5 hours watching the toucans and other birds and squirrels gorge themselves. We elected to have dinner at the property and it was so nice. The kitchen/dining area is just lovely and we had a great time visiting with another couple and their two younger boys visiting from Norway. There are only a few cabins available at this property right now so you are going to have a very peaceful experience. The cabins are very reasonably priced and my biggest regret was only having one night to spend.

With waze found the place easily. Could do with a sign on at least the gate. The property is also known as Los Sementales.

What an amazing place. The rooms are a really good size with two very comfortable double beds. Good to have proper coverings for the windows that blocked out light. It was so quiet here at night. Lovely grounds with lots of birds and a troop of howler monkeys visited whilst we were there. Dinner was exceptional. No menu just said we ate everything and a large tray for the two of us arrived. It was all so tasty. Definitely recommend this place as a convenient overnight stay before or after getting the boat to Tortugero.

Amazing place to feel the jungle, enjoy the animals, birds. It is a must destination when visiting costa rica. We did a stopover from pacific side to Caribbean. One night was not enough:). The staff is super friendly, they showed animals to us (there is a big family of monkeys living literally next and above you), in the evening they catched fish for kids to show. Thousands of birds! We had a very nice dinner prepared for us also. Very recommended!

Its magical , tons of animals , feels like you are in a natural reserve. Its familly owned business ...they welcome you like your at home. Adrian loves nature and will explain anything you need to know about what you can see on the property . I definetly felt in love with the place and the people. The cabins are brand new , clean and well equiped. The large patio doors makes it like you are sleeping straight in the jungle. Restaurant have to be reserved in advance but its totaly worth it ... not a big menu but well accomplished ...i was delighted ! Breakfast is also great! They have a couple of different beers no cocktails. Only thing is its a bit hard to find ...if you dont listen to your gps ...google map brings you to the gate but it can be just a bit confusing ...but not too much. That was everything bad i had to say about the property . ⁷

The water was barely luke warm.

This place exceeded our expectations! We planned to stay here for two nights on the way from the Pacific to the Caribbean coasts and weren't expecting much. However, we left much more than impressed. Firstly, it is run by a very-friendly and accommodating local family. Secondly, the accommodations and facilities are like new, very comfortable, and very well laid-out. The pool is great to relax in and watch the birds. Thirdly, the property is very quiet and secluded. It is surrounded by trees with many birds and some monkeys. I took many pictures of the different types. Also on the property is a small farm with goats, chickens, and ducks.

Everything was great!

Alex was so nice and very knowledgeable of the animals and property. He took such care talking about the area. Really appreciated his time. The beds are comfortable, and breakfast being included was great. The coconut drink at the end of breakfast was a delight. Glad it was off the beaten path and it was such a pleasant surprise.

Breakfast was amazing, local fresh produce and tasty Costa Rican style meals are cooked in this location. We enjoyed every meal and every second of our stay. Calm location, in between nature, we could spot lots of different wildlife that we couldnt see in the touristy areas. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times, they were even able to accommodate a special request we had. 100% recommded to other travelers who want to enjoy a peaceful and well equipped accommodation in a natutral place. The pool is super pretty in between forest and perfect for adults or kids. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

We booked this place based on false claims: it said dog-friendly (it’s not), internet throughout (only at reception), early check-in approved (room wasn’t ready), and amenities like an electric kettle (none in the room). The room was dirty, the door didn’t close, no cell service nor internet in the room and breakfast was poor and late
