At the start we got into a debate/argument with a member of staff around use of the sofa bed. I had booked a junior suite for my 3 kids that was advertised as having two double beds and a sofa bed. When we arrived we asked for the sofa bed that was in the room to be made up and were told we had to pay extra for use of it. I had specifically booked a room with three beds so that my kids wouldn’t share a bed and was really disappointed with the approach taken by this member of staff. I was told the room needed to be booked for 5 or 6 people for the sofa bed to be included. We ‘debated’ this point for quite a while before I walked off. To be gates to the hotel about half an hour later a different member of staff together with the individual I had spoken to came to our room and said they would make an exception and would make up the sofa bed showing my son to use it. Whilst I am grateful that they did the right thing in the end, this did mar the start of our stay.

The property is clean and the rooms are nice. I liked that we were right by the pool so could watch our kids from the room. Breakfast was nice.

A fancy, old fashioned place next to a golf court. It is quiet and seems to be a good place for families as well. It is from a different age and reminds of a mansion from very rich people 🙂 The staff was very friendly

Nothing. It’s in the suburbs if you want to go to downtown San Jose, is about a 20 min taxi/ uber.

Friendly and helpful staff. Immaculately clean. Excellent breakfast. Short drive to the airport. The hotel arranged a shuttle bus to collect us from the airport (additional charge) which was very smooth. It’s peaceful with large comfortable rooms. Nearby is Cariari Plaza, a sort of shopping centre/ mall with several restaurants and a supermarket.

I felt very secure and it was in a nice part of town. The beds were super comfortable. The rooms were extremely clean, staff was helpful, and the room had luxurious amenities. I would definitely stay here again. It is close to the airport but far enough away so that it is not noisy.

Nothing to dislike, but feels like you are staying in a house vs a hotel, which is fine. Just be prepared for that!

Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and friendly staff. Close to airport for an overnight stay. Fun to have a pool!

This was the only hotel we stayed at that provided tiny shampoos in plastic bottles. These are a thing of the past as they waste a lot of plastic. All other hotels provided fixed, reusable bottles, which are far more environmentally friendly.

Jonathon was very helpful. The airport transport he arranged was there in good time.

Being not heated, the pool water is fresh as the nights in San José can be cool.

The calm area, the proximity to the airport, the spacious rooms and the very high ceiling. The pool is a plus. Professional management.

Sheets and pillows could be softer for my taste. Breakfast was good and plentiful but service could have been more friendly.

Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Nice shower with quick hot water. AC works well once we find the right setting. Very clean room, no bugs. Pool was refreshing with a fun water slide my 6 year old son enjoyed.

Really nice and helpful staff. We were allowed to check in early, which I was very happy about since I had food poisoning. I was able to lie down and rest. The room is spotlessly clean.

Worked out great for our family. Arrived around 8pm and they helped arrange a ride from the airport to hotel. Comfortable spot and convenient. Beautiful old estate and property backs up on to a golf course. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning, kids went for a quick swim, and we were off. Thanks!

10 minutes drive from the airport so perfect for beginning or finishing your trip! Staff were very friendly, place was immaculately clean and in a very safe area. About 5 mins walk away there is a little area with some very nice bars and restaurants too. Some of the nicest food there. Room was huge, we had a king size bed each :) You can get an uber into down for around $7 to explore San Jose and it's about a 30 minute ride. We will stay here again when we leave Costa Rica :) There's a nice, clean looking pool but we were too busy to use it. Also, breakfast was offered but there's a lovely cafe called Moose just 5 minutes walk away we recommend to get breakfast. The French toast there is my personal recommendation.
