I stayed 5 nights in a 4-bed dorm with AC at Kwabahal Boutique Hostel and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and cool – perfect after long days exploring Kathmandu. What really makes this hostel stand out is the staff. Everyone is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely cares about the guests. From the reception to the restaurant, the team always had a smile and went out of their way to make me feel at home. The attached restaurant is also excellent – good food, cozy atmosphere, and very convenient when you don’t feel like going out. Overall, this hostel is more than just a place to sleep. It has a warm, family-like feeling that makes you want to stay longer. Highly recommended!

Pros of the hotel: there was hot water, internet, air conditioning, transfer, free bicycles, good breakfast, polite staff.

I stayed at the Tree Tops Hotel for four nights. I chose the most expensive room with a balcony. But upon arrival I was told that they did not have rooms with a balcony, only with a terrace, and all the double rooms were the same, both deluxe and regular. The rooms had old furniture, wobbly sockets, no desk, and the kettle was covered in dust. At my request, they replaced it. The bathroom was very neglected. When I paid, the manager gave me a 20% discount, but my holiday was ruined.

I wish the pool was shallower at one end. Was really looking for a good swim but the whole pool was 4.5 ft and I'm not a very good swimmer and just 5'2 so 😅😅😅

The staff were very kind and helpful. I felt very comfortable at the hotel, almost like at home. The food was good and served with care. The location was convenient for my plans and the off-season price was very attractive.

My room did not have the remote control for the TV set but I never had time to use it anyway. Some little parts of the interior may benefit from some renovation but this did not spoil the overall impression and was decent for the price.
