The Apartment at Reykjanesviti

Positive section of review
It was literally the old lighthouse keepers home. Lots of people were visiting the lighthouse, the nearby cliffs and the hot mud pool and then had to drive away, while we got to stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I wish we had booked an extra night. If you get the chance, book this apartment, you won’t regret it.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is beautiful, fully equipped and sparkling clean. The hosts were wonderfully kind . Hrisey is a true oasis of peace — the perfect place to relax and recharge

Location was perfect for family. Walking distance to sea front, super market, restaurants etc It was clean. Staff responsive. Check in out information excellent. Good private parking space.

Not enough pillows and pillow cases for 3 person Pillows are very uncomfortable and dirty. They put the cushions in the pillow case and hence it was very uncomfortable to sleep. Shower drain was almost blocked and I was told someone would call to fix. But no one showed up.

Location is really fine with bus stop 9 right down the foot of the building. There’s a supermarket nearby. 10-15min walk from bus stop 8, which was by the Hallgrimskirkja.

Room was a bit small. With our suitcases open on the floor, there was little space left to walk around.

Although there is a boiler available downstairs with coffee and tea, 24 hours a day, an electric kettle in the room would be very useful for guests.
