Bukit Lawang, Indonesia
We initially booked two nights, after which we did a 3D2N jungle trek. We arranged this through Batu Kapal and we really enjoyed it. Guides Holanda and Donnie led us through the jungle with great enthusiasm. We saw many beautiful places and animals (orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, great argus, and many more). Because we enjoyed Batu Kapal so much, we booked three more nights after the jungle trek. A real plus is the guesthouse's more remote location. This means you wake up in the morning with only the sounds of birds and the river, and you go back to sleep in the same tranquility at the end of the day. Furthermore, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are many different activities available. Although the night trek seems a bit expensive, we found it well worth it. During the three-hour walk, we were able to spot other nocturnal animals (loris, snakes, geckos). The food at Batu Kapal is good; be sure to try the fruit.
It's important to keep in mind that the location is quite remote. This means you'll either have to walk 50 minutes to the village (less pleasant in the dark) or travel by motorbike or scooter. Fortunately, the staff are always happy to take you there by motorbike or scooter. Although the road is bumpy, they know what they're doing and are mindful of your safety. After all, it's definitely worth it for the peaceful surroundings you'll get in return.
Seminyak, Indonesia
I love how secluded this place feels, even amongst other villas it feels private and luxurious. Breakfast was fantastic every day, the room was huge and giant bed was incredibly soft, as were the pillow. The bathroom is clean, spacious and although outdoors felt very private and comfortable.
Nothing to dislike about it, although it is worth noting that this place doesn’t have much in the way of room service so make sure you stock up your snacks and drinks for poolside relaxing
Sanur, Indonesia
Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was always clean, and we could call reception if we needed anything. The breakfast was good; you can order eggs cooked to your liking. I would recommend hiring a bike next door, it's then only a 5-minute bike ride to the beach.
My main complaint is the number of stairs- good for fitness. I had a toddler and was on the third floor, 40 stairs to carry her up, which was tough at times

The room have everything you need to enjoy the local nature and waterfalls. The hosts were very friendly, good delivery for the price
The waiting time in the restaurant for aditional food (excluding breakfast) is long
Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia
Location was great, very quiet, amazing views from pool / restaurant areas.. big rooms, comfortable .. staff very nice 😊
Didn’t bother me, but if you don’t like stairs, you may struggle here .. pool / restaurant area up perhaps 40 high, steep steps .. but great view !
Seminyak, Indonesia
It was a lovely villa with lots of space..
The noise was incredibly loud from the nearby nightclub. The walls shook until 4.30am. Very unsuitable for a young family! Great villa if you are out partying all night..
Kuta, Indonesia
Location very close to beach
Just my taste .. but dark hallways to rooms affected the vibe / feel for me ..

Breakfast.
1. No wardrobe as advertised so I had to hang my clothes on the tv screen 2. No sink in the bathroom 3. Shower dis not drain well so it almost spilled over into the bedroom if you are not careful. Very tight space, no room to move. 4. Location is really far from T3. Pick up was 30 mins late and you only get dropped off at the hotel after a winding zig-zagging long route. I stayed at Alana Grand right in the smack of the airport with better facilities!!
