Positive section of review
Good location. The location was great for us as we were leaving Budapest by train and the hotel was opposite the Keleti train station. About a 30mins walk to the centre but the metro was close to the hotel and the metro system was cheap and easy to use. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly.

Good location, easy to connect with public transport. Breakfast was decent, not a lot of variety but for a few days you have from where to choose.

We checked-in at 01:00 am, unfortunately when we got into our room it was nothing like the one advertised in photos. First look, room was waaay smaller, damaged walls, damaged furniture, dirty bathroom. Immediately we went down to the receptionist to report the problem and ask for a new room or a refund. He said, I cite, "there is nothing much to do", because they are fully booked, and that we should come back tommorrow and he will inform the morning staff about the problem. We accepted because we had no alternative and slept in the room we got assigned first. In the morning, we got to the reception to ask if they have found a solution for our problem. Apparently, the receptionist did not forward the problem to his colleagues, so we had to explain again the problem and got the same response from this other receptionist: "we are full, nothing much to do now". I asked for a refund for the remaining nights but it was adivsed as "not possible", and told us to write an e-mail to the manager that works at his own programme. We did, but we didn't get any response even now. They offered us a new room but we had to wait until 15:00 for them to "maybe find a room that matches our expectation". So instead of visiting Budapest we lost half a day, having to pack our luggages from the dirty room and waiting for, maybe, a good room (but not guaranteed). Finally, at 15:00 we came back and they gave us a decent room that matched the photos and conditions advised, but we still lost a night that we slept in unhygienic conditions and caused us a big disconfort. They did not really try to understand us and give us best solution, making us feel that we are the one with a problem, but the room was really not prepared to accomodate any guest for any amount of night.

Nice man at reception. Breakfast is ok but not much variety. Good shower. Good shopping mall nearby (10 minutes walk)

WIFI almost non existent in room. Most of the time I had to use my own data or go to the lobby The lights in the hallway are on a timer, after a few minutes they switch off automatically and you find yourself in a dark hallway (dark, not dimmed) Location is quite far away from the city center if you want to walk.

The location is excellent, and the interior of the rooms is comfortable.

I was disappointed by the lack of clear information that there is no 24-hour reception or concierge. At night, there are no staff members at the hotel, just of the Damas Cafe. Had I known this in advance, I would not have booked. If you’re looking for a hotel experience, definitelly this is not the best option. But if you’re looking only for an excellent location and confortable and clean rooms, its a good one.

The only problem was that the room had no air condition and it was very hot, especially at night hours . We could not sleep easily.
