A stylish, elegant hotel in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of York. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were delightful, constantly smiling and cheerful. There were 10 of us in our party, staying overnight for dinner, bed and breakfast prior to my daughter's wedding in York. Impressive wooden staircases ideal for photos of the bride.

A beautiful location which felt really rural, but was only a 10 minute drive from Winchester. A great pub within walking distance (although - check opening hours). The shepherds hut was so cosy and perfect for two, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. We would stay again :).

The location was great, very central and easy to walk into the town centre in 5 minutes. Parking was available outside the door. Was big enough for our family of five.

It was a little tatty and furnished cheaply. My wife tore the dress she was ironing for a wedding as the ironing board was the cheapest you can buy, the bread board fell apart when we picked it up and the bed we slept in sagged in the middle so we kept ending up rolling into the middle. There's a bit of noise as the house is sandwiched between a chip shop and an Indian takeaway. It's a terraced house so inevitably there's only one bathroom but the house is fitted out with three double beds, so room for six people, which is a bit of a mismatch. A small downstairs toilet would have been a good idea. Bit dirty and tatty in places.

This accommodation had a great location, and was a comfortable stay.

The bathroom was not very well kept. The light had a horrible flicker that would take a couple of minutes to come right, the door handle kept falling off, and the toilet seat lid was half-cracked off. We were also told that there were chocolates and water left for us, but we found nothing - we didn't care too much, just thought it was a bit odd.
