Will is a great host and full of helpful information including things such as restaurants, reggae and rainbow bars. He speaks English and very communicative on WhatsApp before and during my stay. They even did my laundry. This is a great opportunity to stay in a local style house in a local neighbourhood. However the location and style might not be good for nervous or high end travellers. Will has a well stocked fridge with water and beers to enjoy on the small internal patio. You must use Uber at night and all the drivers are great - they find the address easy and stop right at the front gate then wait until you are safely inside the gate.

Very Nice staying. Location is perfect , almost in the beach! Walking distance from Copacabana and Ipanema and full of buses around to go to other neighbours Tha apartment is big , well equipped. We had a problem with hot water but has been resolved immediately . Definitely I would come back there !

The breakfast was alright and had some good options. The location was also ok, near enough to the beach.

The room was deplorable. The blankets smelled like poop and I had to request that they were changed. The room floors were not clean and felt like sand to the feet. The shower barely had pressure and the room was quite small. The sockets stopped working after I used the iron box and ruined my universal charger.

Good facilities, breakfast varied and plentiful. Pool was great- big and crystal clean.

The room lacked provision of any soap or shampoo for a traveler. Large bed was ok, but pillows were old and with no support, and cheap, well - used bed linen.

The room. It was very tiny, a lot smaller than the 16m2 in the booking add. The door did not cover the whole opening, thus light and noise came into the room. The shower was tiny and the water, non adjustable, too high up.

On my first day, the shower broke, leaving me without hot water. It took a full day for the issue to be resolved. A few days later, another problem occurred when the water pump broke. This resulted in my room being without any running water for an entire day.
