Nothing major to object - Just slightly sad that we could not use the jacuzzi during our time as it was not functioning, the hammam offered at the property also failed to work. We would also have appreciated more options for meals/snacks in the evenings.

The staff was always super attentive to our requests and questions, we enjoyed the amazing views of the property to the mountains as well as their great sauna and massage offering - fully recommend the massage, it was the best one I ever had!

The only suggestion would be screens on windows. Fortunately it was cool enough to shut windows at night during our stay.

The property is gorgeous, incredible views, the pictures don’t do justice. Delicious breakfast, great service. Didn’t get to go to restaurant, but great service at bar where drinks and appetizers/desserts are available, it was very busy yet server was very attentive.

The cafe/bar had limited food options if you’re really hungry (i.e for dinner). Would be amazing to have an actual restaurant within the property.

Amazing views, helpful and welcoming staff, great breakfast, centrally located between towns and activities (20 minutes to coffee tours, Salento and Filandia), parking available, gated property. Grounds and hotel were very cleaned and maintained very well. Highly recommended, great value!

A real gem in the eje cafetero. Centrally located, @ about 25 minutes, between Salento and Filandia, respectively, the place is an excellent choice. The staff is superb. From Ronal, the receptionist, and Johny , the property manager who turned out to play multiple roles to ensure ur well-being and comfort, to the wait staff at their restaurant with an excellent choice of organic food choices and home brewed fresh coffee. The beds are super comfortable, and the views can't be beaten.

It was noisy. You can hear people in their rooms and in the hall. A few carpets would help. Unfortunately in our room we were also close to the roosters and dogs that wake up at 5 am.

Beautiful building and gardens. On-site bar was very convenient. The scenery was amazing! Staff were very friendly. We do not speak Spanish but were able to communicate via translation apps.

It was a little bit out-of-the-way and only restaurant to eat at was at the bottom of the hill. You have to be careful because there are geese down there and my husband got bit by one. It was a sneak attack.

The view was amazing! The flowers are gorgeous and there is a nice coffee/dessert restaurant next-door. But nothing for supper.

Really nice and helpful staff. The room was equipped with all we needed, including a safe. Amazingly located with great views. The cafe located next to the hotel had nice sweet and savoury dishes to try. The breakfasts were nice and pretty big with eggs of choice, bread, jam, coffee etc.

Lovely !! It sits on a hilltop and you have the most spectacular view of The Valley and of the mountains. We booked a room with a view and a balcony. We saw many birds zipping from our balcony early morning and late afternoon. They also have a cafe to relax at with appetizers, a full bar, and drinks. Johnny checked us in and was very gracious. We stayed for two nights and would gladly have stayed more days. The breakfast choices were varied and delicious. You will not be disappointed at The Monarca

Because of its serene location, it requires taking a taxi to anywhere including dinner. Waiting for one is anywhere from 10 to 30 mins. The property will schedule reliable drivers so it’s necessary to plan or not be in any kind of hurry.

the road to access the hotel made me think of “hotel California

we arrived after 9:00 pm but they waited for us. our room was next to reception so a bit noisy but the staff was really nice and accommodating. breakfast was nice and I learned how to make Colombia coffee and chocolate. They have a very nice view on the valley and city. on Friday night there was an entertainment at the restaurant next to the hotel

The only small drawback is that you need a car or other transport to take you to the neighboring towns, so plan for that or rent a car.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the view from the balcony is stunning, and property is well maintained, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was also above expectations. I will certainly stay at this property again.
