How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We had an issue with our bed, it seemed to be an older bed...but the management took care of it right away and made sure we were switched rooms and comfertable!
I really liked the location of the hotel and the peacefulness. We were able to get to and from the hotel easily with taxis and it was close to the main bar area in Poblado!

Plug sockets a little dodgy, smelled a bit of smoke, and WIFI is knly available close to reception.
The staff were very friendly, it felt safe and the pool is nice. My room was clean.

Overall good place to sleep and experience culture, however it only occurred one time where there was a lot of noise being made by a group of people by the hall that sleep was nearly impossible given that a tour was to be completed the next day. The other point would be they make you pay your stay right away as opposed to other countries where it’s after services received.
Antioquian style hotel, traditional Colombian breakfasts, staff were friendly and cordial, beautiful hotel to see Antioquian Colombian culture.

The floor in the bedroom was not very clean and the hairdryer was broken. We asked for a new one at the reception but they didn't have any.
The hotel is great and very quiet. The guy at the reception was very friendly and did everything to meet out expectations. Great breakfast and friendly staff as well. Good location as well but we were always taking the taxi to come back in the night.

breakfast was all right they could change the menu a bit, no ac was an eyeopener, the bed was way to low almost on the floor, th windows had no screen a mosquito bug haven.

The pool was big and clean but there was no place to lay down not even if it were on our own towels. The room had a carped and because everything is a bit damp in general that didn’t fee very hygenic. It seemed lime staff started working at around 5:30 which was loud at times.
The staff is really nice and helpful and the rooms is generally clean.

The room facilities poor . They have to upgrade . The breakfast was extreme poor . A good breakfast is important to start the day .

None of the rooms had hot water. The shower was not much more than a pipe like i would expect in the rural parts of Colombia, not in the city of Medellin and it was not clear when booking that hot water was not available.
The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Rooms were very basic. Did always have drinks to buy, food very limited. But all restaurants are very close
Nice pool, rooms are very basic, but it feels like you are in the countryside instead of a big city. Very close to Poblado centre, numerous restaurants and supermarket is just up the road. The location is perfect.

Not good isolation of the room with open spaces which make it noisy as you can hear everyone using the pool or walking through the corridors. No curtain on the window facing the corridor which allows light inside the room at all times.
Big and clean room, helpful staff and good breakfast. Swimming pool is a great plus.

The hotel is located on a hill, which I didn't like, because it's very tiring to walk up the hill to the hotel...Also, I didn't like my room, because it had 2 beds that took up a lot of space.

Ageing rooms which where in poor condition, black mould set in room carpet and curtains, was unpleasant smell due to mould. TV was from the 90s. Staff where hit and miss some fantastic and then some very grumpy.
The location was great near Calle 10 which has a great nightlife, staff generally pleasant, the place is fairly secure and locked during the day felt very safe, the pool was awesome, internet condition was stable.
