How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The rooms are small for two queen size beds. There is very little space between the bed and the wall, and there us no room for the luggage. I would have preferred a queen bed and a table or a sofa where I could place the laugagge

A really charming hotel in an old colonial house.. Beautiful interiors with antique furniture and interesting bric a brac. It had a really homely, comfortable feel. It's in the historical centre not far from the main square. Very welcoming staff, lovely breakfast, hot shower and clean. If i was returning to Tunja i wouldnt hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

I was charged and additional fee at the parking lot, I felt like the parking attndant was asking for extra money as the hotel provides parking as part of the stay,

The shower curtain was made of thick clear plastic and had some holes in the bottom that allowed water to escape onto the bathroom floor. There was hot water but the water pressure was not good, requiring frequent adjustment while showering and preventing a quick shower.
The breakfast was excellent, as was the staff. The setting is beautiful with a gorgeous courtyard and nice wooden furniture. They allowed payment to be made with credit card and did not require payment until checkout (unlike most Colombian hotels).

I loved the decor, the multitude of plants, and the cozy feel of the hotel and our room. The staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. The fact that breakfast and parking were complimentary was a bonus. Our stay was only one night during the week, and it was amazing how quiet it was.

Just a suggestion really. If the hotel is nearly empty, don't put two guests in adjoining rooms. The guests you put in the room next to me got up at 6am and made a lot of noise from then on, so it was impossible to sleep.
Everything was lovely. Fleur was delightful, the breakfast was nice, the hotel itself is delightfully quirky. Wifi was lightning fast. Comfy bed.

The style of this hotel was so very charming. The owner has found so many antiques to tell a story of the past. It felt like a home. The breakfast was delicious,made to order,wow! The entrance to the hotel is a wood door with a old fashioned brass knoker. Highly recommend this hotel!

This was my second visit to Tunja and my second stay at Hotel Posada de San Agustin. That speaks for itself! The hotel is comfortable, beautifully restored and with a great atmosphere. Staff are charming, breakfast delicious, and the rooms nicely appointed. If I was coming back to Tunja then I'd book again, without hesitation.

Absolutely beautiful property, well maintained and cared for. The pictures don't do it justice. Had a really pleasant stay - the hotel is well placed to walk around the centro area. Charming staff couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Recommended.

You could not open a window for extra ventilation.
