How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe beach was immediately disappointing. You can't really swim there. The water is dirty and full of particulate matter. The pool was disappointing. It's waist deep and overheats in the sun so that it's not even refreshing when you jump in. The service was very disappointing. We arrived and they couldn't find our reservation so the guy made us sit in the hot sun for 30min while he made multiple phone calls and called in 2 of his colleagues. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. There was no reason not to just put us in a room while they sorted it out. When they finally decided to put us in a room there was another 20 minute process of interrogation first. They asked me more questions than customs did when I entered the country. As they finally took us to the room they pointed out that if I wanted to drink my own rum that I had brought while on the property I had to pay a corking fee. Meanwhile at no time as we were chilling by the pool did anyone ask us if we wanted a drink. Instead each time I had to go searching for one of the multiple employees who were scattered around the property to get them to come to the bar and serve us. I have no idea what they were doing. There were no other clients. They never told us the hotel served food. We went for a walk along the beach and managed to convince the find a small place that served fish. When we got back to the hotel at 9pm a staff member came to notify us that the kitchen was closing and asked for the first time if we wanted to see a menu. I definitely would not have been so harsh if the place had been reasonably priced but this place is charging top dollar. Absolutely shameful

Verified reviewFront of the beach and descent pool
Very dated. Not clean. Poor service. No security. Our door opened without a key just pushing the doors hard enough. Asked for toilet paper for almost two days, never arrived. And one day and a half without electricity which was never explained or fixed.

Verified reviewWe are a couple in the mid-fifty being on road traveling for over 5 yrs. Based on guest Feedbacks we booked this place for 2 nights mid Dec 23. This place looks good/nicely promoted on the web, but once there, you'll be surprised how bad it has been maintained. In a nutshell, the value for the money is a rib-off, and we can't recommend this place at all - and for sure won't go back. We however won’t miss to mention the very friendly and helpful staff!
The kitchen and its equipment is in such a bad shape, you wont't be able to even boil an egg. The fridge was not working and looked awful. The shower did not provide enough water to shower nor wash you hair - we had to use a couple of pots from the kitchen (did asked the front-desk to give us an other room. They feedbacked it‘s the same everywhere). Table and chairs are partially broken. A view hundert meters away from the beach, there is a hug ship port where big boats land to on/off-load freight. The restaurant is very basic (had only breakfast and were lucky, the hotel next door offered a restaurant where we could eat supper). The pool area would be nice BUT the crazy loud music from the bar makes you tired - and unfortunately there is no shade, we could only stay/enjoy a couple of hours late in the afternoon when the sun was less strong. Furhtermore the area around the hotel is not safe for tourists (locals recommended not to to walk at the beach or leave the hotel).

The room was lacking. No shower head, nor shower curtain. There’s a stove but nothing to cook with. We had to ask for towels and sheets Extremely loud fans for cooling the bedrooms.
