Excellent value, very cheap

Very basic, walls were very thing as could hear everything in the communal area, small room - but really cheap so to be expected.

Sijiar doesn’t just host you, he makes you feel like part of the family! Highly recommend to anyone that’s looking for a quiet hostel.

Our host was super kind and helpful. Hot water in the shower is a big plus!

In our room the shower head was spraying water everywhere, and the flow was a little weak, but there are other showers in the property. The power outlets are on the opposite side of the room from the bed.

Friendly, helpful and relaxed host with his own humour. Was not a problem that we arrived way earlier and left our bags (secured) till we could check-in. We could also leave them for a whole day after check-out while we were hiking. Also, we didn’t need to use, but seemed, they have lockers (bring your own padlock) in the common area. We found more beds/space in our private room without extra cost. Also a kitchen with necessary facilities. It can get messy there, but because lots of people using it! Regardless, host always tries to tidy all up in the early morning. The hostel is simple, but is cleaned every day, and has a friendly, home-like environment. Initially we came for 1 night, stayed for 2, and possibly will come back again!

I liked the location because the city center can be reached quickly, and it is close to the bus station. Additionally, I really appreciated the kindness of the owner and his wife.

I had booked here because a previous reservation had been canceled, as the owner informed me that there were issues with the water supply. These problems stem from the small town, where the system is very old but still functional. I would have appreciated similar communication from the current owner for the sake of fairness and transparency. One downside, despite the charm of the children, is that if you want to rest in the afternoon or morning, it can be difficult because the room doors open onto an atrium where there’s a ping-pong table, which causes a lot of noise. However, you can always ask for a break in order to rest. Of course, the structure is quite modest, so you need to adapt a bit to the spaces, but the rooms seem fine to me.

I received even better room that I have booked!

Location, shower

Kitchen was a disaster & major hygiene issues, our bed was sagged like a banana but owner changed it after first night wasn’t much better, overpriced for what you get here.

We loved our stay here. The family is a kind. They were flexible when we came super early and we could check in directly with an additional cost for a room upgrade. When there was a problem with no water in the whole Salento at night, the lady gave me a bucket of water for cleaning purposes. Plus, there is a cuddly cute cat with moustache :D

Our room didn’t have a window and als

A short walk into the main square, the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. They helped us practice our Spanish and were very patient. When we got food poisoning from a restaurant they went above and beyond to help us and accommodate us staying an extra night. Room was a great size and comfy!

The blinds didn't block out any light. A little bit outdated but that didn't bother us!!

Great location. Staff very accommodating and even let us leave our bags the next day until late as we where catching an overnight bus but wanted to explore during the day, at no extra cost.
