How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff .. couldn't ask for a better location, clean place and comfortable. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend it.

Very noisy music from the street. It was hard to fall asleep. The music didnt stop until 4 am. Ear plugs recommended!
Great location in Medellín. The room was nice and the bath and toilet facilities are great too. Nice staff.

It was a little dusty and they were doing renovations so I was placed into a room with a different spec than booked. The windows in my dorm didn't close so it was very noisy at night. As it was low season I only shared my dorm with one other person during my short stay.
Good location, close to the zone with all the bars and clubs, and near to many tour pick-up points. The beds had sockets and curtains for privacy. The staff were lovely and very helpful and I'd stay there again. They sell water and other useful items at the front desk.

The noice at night. Windows should be soundproof as well as the curtains.
Definitely the location/area. I felt very confortable/safe.

No air conditioning in the room, only a fan but it didn't cause an issue and worked perfectly!
Professional staff, the accommodation was perfectly cleaned every day, comfortable beds, strong WiFi, excellent location and value for money overall. I would highly recommend! .

i found some bugs on my pillow the lady didnt know what they were & neither did i so they moved me to a bed upstairs & those are way better. i couldnt sleep there after that but just make sure to get a room on the upper levels.
i love the location & the staff is so helpful

Lack of plates in kitchens (we found 2) Rooms upstairs incredibly hot due to wooden roof Depending on the room you get, some can be really loud if you have windows.

Whilst it didn’t bother me personally, if you are not a fan of loud music and are after quiet, this might not be the best place to stay as it’s surrounded by nightlife which goes on well into the AMs
The location is fantastic, just a 2 minute walk from Parque Lleras. Facilities are clean enough, nothing stands out, I didn’t get the impression this is a very social hostel however the staff was friendly. Would recommend for a short stay.

the hostel is literally next to a party club so if you are sensitive to noise this is not a good choice the stuff with exception of one lady is very nice

The room was not like described, bad beds, no hot water. The hostel is next to a club and you can HEAR EVERYTHING. They made me sign documents at 2 am, when i git back from a night with friends.

"Staying at Hostal Lleras Calle 8 was a fantastic experience! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Poblado, just a few blocks from Parque Lleras. The rooms were spotless, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The hostel was surprisingly quiet given its central location, Salsa Bar just a few steps away. it’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to explore Medellín’s nightlife while having a clean and secure place to come back to. Highly recommended for budget travelers!"

We’ve got a room that wasn’t the category that we had booked. The room was in front of the lobby and to the street. It couldn’t get any louder and there’s no way you open the window before 4 am, while there’s no AC. All in all we’ve got a room that is actually not a rentable room. The lady in the reception was very kind and understanding, but explained that the house was full and she couldn’t give us another room.

My room door was transparent so some people could look straight into it but I was ok with it at the end.
Central if you're looking for party it's perfect. Still loud until 2/3 AM but with headphones you're fine.

Well its a hostal so, shared bathroom, I suppose have a queen bed butt was to small bed together, no parking place, they ask to many information on the check in
