The room was pretty bare. Barely any place to hang or place most stuff. We had to put many things on the floor.

The staff was really friendly and welcoming. There was a kitchen available to use and everything was very clean

It is a small bit out of the main town, but still safe to walk home and has the added silent views that the town doesn’t have

We prebooked a room with a private bathroom. On arrival we were given a room with a shared bathroom. I Was only offered a discount when I mentioned it. No real option to go elsewhere as it was Easter and very limited availability. No hot water in shower either 9am or 4pm WiFi near shared rooms is non existent. Works up by the rooms with private bathrooms!!

Really clean, quiet location on the edge of the town. He Let us park our small motos at the front of the house. Liked the offer of coffee in the mornings. Lovely view from the room.

I was in the room next to the breakfast area so could overhear people talking in the morning. Some people spoke a little too loud but it wasn’t too early so didn’t disturb me too much.

The peacefulness and calm of the hostel was exactly what I was looking for. It was simple but clean and had everything I needed for a low cost accommodation. The hot water day of night in the shower was much appreciated. Staff were friendly. I loved the hammock in the communal area and took a couple of siestas there. Nice to be surrounded by nature. I was travelling solo and was completely safe walking to and from the town which is about 10 mins into the centre.

Hostal Bamboo was one of our favourite stays while in Colombia. The owner was extremely hospitable, he let us check in early to have some rest after a long bus ride and was always happy to give tips about Salento or just have chat. The location was perfect, only a 10 min walk to the centre and next to the road leading to all the coffee farms (we booked a coffee tour through this hostel). The rooms were clean, spacious, quiet and with amazing views. There is a water filter in the kitchen.

Amazing! I was received by a nice and attentive Host and an amazing view on the Mountains. The Hostel has everything of Equipment to spend a good time. The bed was conference ortable and everyday room cleaning. The mood was perfectly to calm down. On the otherside it is close to activities in surrounding. Thank you John to give me feel like home!

I booked for private bathroom, however it was given away and we stay for the first night with a shared bathroom paying the same amount. The kitchen space is open, it is nice when is sunny however if the weather is bad it could affect.

The location, staff, room, views were all lovely. It's a very basic (some might say rustic) facility but I would say that it was a fantastic value in so many ways. Everything was clean. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. If you are a relatively light sleeper and you want to sleep in, bring ear plugs. The roosters will probably wake you up around 6am. It's not a complaint, just a suggestion. I think this place was totally worth the early alarm. :)
