The location of the property is brilliant as well as the staff and their service!

We stayed here for one night and booked a studio apartment. It was not in the main hostel building, but about a 7-minute walk away. The staff was very kind.

Communication with the owner was very good, and he kindly arranged an airport transfer for us. It was possible to leave our luggage in the hostel and go out.

While there is a kitchen, it is bare minimum, so I wouldn't plan on cooking or making much more than morning coffee. (For example, there are no paper towels or dish towels or way to dish rack for drying dishes after you've washed them.) The shower uses a small on-demand heater that never gets very hot. It's adequate, but barely. Normally it's pretty warm in Bogotá, so it wouldn't be a problem, but it was a bit chilly when I was there and the apartment isn't heated. Overall, for the price, it's a good deal and I'd stay there again, but not if I were staying indoors and needed more fully equipped facilities.

The host lives nearby and was very responsive to any needs or questions that came up. He arranged a reasonably priced airport ride, since the taxi drivers notoriously overcharge tourists. The location is very convenient to the nightlife in La Calendaria neighborhood and an easy walk to most of the interesting museums, the Montserrate trailhead and other fun things in that part of the city. The wifi works adequately, but like everywhere I've been in Colombia, can be flaky at times.

These are really minor points: The place can be a bit brisk at night (but a lot of blankets is provided and I guess it's pretty much the same everywhere in Bogota). Loud music from a neighbor (but just one day out of 5 or so we spent there and again,, loud music is a standard in Colombia).

The bed was a bit too hard for us.

Great located, close to good restaurants and mt. Monserrate for a morning "hike". Samuel is very friendly and speaks some english, which is not very common in Colombia. The apartment has everything you need, although we didn't use the kitchen. Very good value for the price, compared to other places we stayed at, in Colombia.

Shower could have been a bit hotter.

Fantastic place - has everything that you need and the location is great. Close enough to walk to Plaza Bolivar but also calm and quiet in the evenings. Mr. Samuel is extremely helpful and a wonderful person. Comfortable beds, warm blankets, and the wall projector is an added bonus! Would have loved to stay for longer. Overall an excellent stay and great value for money.

The shower was only just warm enough to stay in it. The area is amazing, although unsafe.

The location for La Candelaria is excellent. Many good restaurants nearby, as well as museums and Plaza de Bolívar. The host, Samuel, is incredibly nice and very helpful. Overall a great experience.
