Staff played music 22:30 and I had to ask to volume down because the wall is very thin and I heard everything. They stopped music tho. Thank you.

My bed was just right in front of the sliding door of a dorm located in front of the reception and the bathrooms. So, sometimes i lacked a bit of privacy. I would also suggest a dorm exclusively for women, instead of having all dorms mixed.

Calm, comfortable, great kitchen and kind staff. And the breakfast (included) is amazing!!The bunk beds have courtains to preserve your privacy and there is a bathroom exclusively for women. Not a party hostel, not extremely social, just family environment, which is what i was longing for. Great location too!!

Everything was great. The coliving is in La Floresta which is a nice and quiet neighborhood with a lot of restaurants, grocery stores and gyms. Very green house with a lot of plants. Nice patio. Big kitchen with all the tools that you need. The staff are great. Plenty of showers, toilets, and handwash. Maybe too many. Some of that space could be used differently. Also ventilation of the bathroom area could be closed off and directed outside to avoid development of humidity in the long run. On behalf of the administration, a receptionist at night would be good for her(night sleep) and for guests arriving/returning at night.

The shower lacks a bit of functionality. It does provide warm water, though.

Price value is really good. The host, Claudia is very nice and helpful with everything you need. The kitchen is always very clean. The rooms are clean and offer everything you need. The area offers many restaurants and a big supermarket is close by. Also, the area felt super safe. Would surely stay here again.

The cleaning of the room/bathroom could be improved, there were still crumbs/an empty bottle from previous guests when we got our room.

I loved the stay! It didn't feel like a Hostel but more like a Home. Clean, tidy, decent breakfast, quiet and familiar vibe. Also the people you meet at the hostel are not the typical backpacker crowd but truly interesting people. It's in a lovely, pretty local neighborhood which felt safe and well developed (check out the restaurant la casa del alimento). Also most of the staff was lovely and very fair, especially Marleny! Saludos mi reina y hasta el año que viene si Dios quiere 🤗

I had a lovely stay here at Gaston 2 whilst going to Spanish school in Belen for a week. This was my first stop in Colombia and Marileny made me feel so comfortable and like I could use the hostel as my home. Marileny was the highlight of my stay here! She was patient and kind and I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with her, and she also gave me lots of useful tips about safety etc in Medellin. The facilities are basic but clean (the pillow I have to say was not the most comfortable!) and I really enjoyed the daily breakfast often eaten with the staff and sometimes their friends. The area itself is quite residential (not in the fancy bit of Laureles), but I didn’t mind as I was quite busy with Spanish school. Met some nice people too, as the hostel is small we saw each other often which was nice. Perhaps if you are a solo traveller without the social structure of Spanish school you might want somewhere a bit more lively. Also it was extremely cheap!

I stayed in Gaston 2 and Marlen the owner is really friendly. The kitchen is big, clean and has everything you need. The beds are comfortable. Might not be the most social hostel at first sight but I met cool people there. The metro is nearby and the neighbourhood is really nice.

Hostel is close to the metro, which brings you everywhere in the city. I love the park and the restaurant around it. Floresta is a chilling place, and the hostel was perfectly fine. Very kind staff as well.

I stayed at Gaston 2; the staff were grand, especially the manager Marlynee, who was very hospitable and helpful. The location is also excellent, situated in the Estadio neighborhood. I had breakfast there 3 times, served excellently by David.

I can't think of anything

I stayed last year and I was so impressed I came back. I'm embarrassed because I can't remember the lady's name who runs it, but she is amazing. It's in a very safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants close to the metro station. I'll be back next year. Medellen is a great city. This place is full of young adults from all over the world. Well educated and a pleasure to talk to.

They helped me a lot with tips to go even though I don't really speak Spanish. Really kind personal. The breakfast was great. It's near to the starting point for Comuna 13 tours. I could store my backpack there on my last day. Thanks for having me :)
