Lovely finca just outside of Salento. Our original room had a leak due to the incessant rain so we were given a different one. 2 rooms with a seating area in between. Just perfect for three of us.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the other rooms.

We were very happy here. A minor point but the door of the suite has a gap above it - meant there was an entry point for bugs (though there weren’t many and we weren’t bothered by mosquitoes) and if there’s people in the other suite it might allow some more noise?

Stunning and peaceful location, within easy reach of Salento centre (walk about 5 mins to the main road, easy to catch bus/passing taxi or jeep for about 2000 pp, or get a taxi from the ranch about 20000 per taxi). Also right next to trail heads for Cascada Santa Rita and hike to some coffee farms. We spent a very happy week here! We stayed in both the suite and a standard room. Very comfortable beds. Suite is to the side of the ranch so it’s super quiet. Standard room had a bit more noise in the morning from dogs/other people going to breakfast, but still very peaceful. The spa bath was very hot and great. Dogs are so so friendly and kind. Great horse rides can be organised from the ranch. Really helpful and friendly team.

At night it was a bit cold. We asked for extra blankets and we got them.

The nature of the surroundings makes you want to stay. We woke up by the singing of the birds and the beautiful Mountain View.

The old design of the house is part of the charm, hence the noisy floor boards and the low lighting. But you could compensate this with a revamping of the beds and maybe better lighting inside the rooms.

This quaint “casa cafetera” surrounded by mountains and plantations is the perfect stay if you want to enjoy Salento and Valle del Cocora, without the annoying parking problems and crowding of the town of Salento itself. The hosts were super accommodating and received us even if we arrived late. The rooms were ample and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We were also allowed to store our suitcases while we went hiking.

We had a fantastic stay! The place is located in a very peaceful area in the area just outside Salento. It is very easy to reach town taking the bus just outside the accommodation (every 10 minutes, 0.50$) or with a jeep that they can call for you (5$). Camilo was a great host and speaks English very well, he really did anything he could to make our stay special! Thank you!

The only thing is that during the weekend, one of the neighbouring resort would have loud music until almost 3am. When you close the windows, you can still hear a little bit. For someone with light sleep, this might be an issue.

The place is so tranquil and amazing, in a very peaceful farm owned by El Rancho. The acess road is a bit tough for driving in, but not a big deal for us. The owner's family is so friendly, and help us a lot during the stay. The drive to the Salento town is about 15min, but you get the busy village feeling rather than the noisy business in the Town center. We love the place so much, and definitely recommend to everyone.

A bit of a drive on a not perfect road but doable with a normal car as well and you get to a more quiet area. Bathroom could be a bit better maintained but again I think for price it was ok.

The people were friendly, it was rather empty and the room was not too big but I think given the price it was ok. Breakfast was simple but good enough.

Walls are thin so you can hear conversations in other rooms.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. No restaurant on site but there is a great restaurant within 10 minutes walk. Ideally situated for walking to Santa Rita waterfall. Very relaxing following a stay in Salento. Breakfast is limited to eggs as you like them and toast but very nice. Self serve coffee is a bonus. 2 of our party went horse riding organised by the hotel which they thoroughly enjoyed. Another unexpected bonus was the crazy golf course next to the best of the restaurants at the end of the track,, it was really very good.

The access road to the property could be improved a bit , but it is not by any means something that prevents you to enjoy the beautiful place.

The property has one of the best so far internet connectivity by fiber optics, I enjoyed the breakfast prepared by single order by the friendly kitchen staff , and last but not least the location around the Colombian mountains gives you a stay of connection with nature, birds, horses and such. I will return on the later future to this lovely place to rest , relax, be connected to the world and visit the wonderful town of Salento in Quindio , Colombia.

Unfortunately, the couple staying in the room next to us had their dog with them and her barking woke us up in the early morning. In the future, we will look for properties that don't allow pets.

We loved the view from the rancho - early morning and sunset were especially lovely - and the grounds were really relaxing and inviting.

Breakfast with 'NO' option for a fruit-juice is a big no for me. I always have it before I have Çoffee' Je Je Je. Please make that option also available for future travelers. Rest of the breakfast was really good. Also, it is a bit far away from Salento. We had a hard time to get a taxi/cab in Salento(seems non-existent there). Then a good Samaritan advises us to approach those 'Willy' Jeeps, and they may take us there, any they did.

As they say - Watch the sun come up, Watch it go down, Thank Almighty God for another day. The place brought back my memories of staying in á 'Texas Ranch' in USA some 15 years back. Wow. Quite similar SAN 'horses' jejeje. What a beautiful, peaceful place out of the hustle-bustle of a city. We really enjoyed staying here. When we had to go back to Salento to take a bus for our next destination, owner arranged a private cab for us with an English speaking person, and very nominal price, which I believe(not sure) was his son, as I had read in few reviews his sons speak very good ingles. :-). And, coming back to the place, man, what a nice place to spent time. And, not to forget those three, very nice doggies. So beautiful and lovely dogs. If you are in a big group or few families, this place is ideal' for you to enjoy your time for a day or two. They can arrange all kind of tours right from the site, like çocora valley tour, or coffee farm tours etc. Kudos. When we arrived, I thought what a deserted place so far away is this. But , then later I realized, there were at least 20+ more folks have arrived in a short time. They for sure must be doing something nice, that's why the place is full. Lastly, I wish they had an in-house restaurant therein, as once you are there, you can't go anywhere to have dinner, if you have 'no car' ˙◠˙. We had to spend the night with chips and a 'poker' drink. Jejejeje.

Such a beautiful place! It's in the heart of nature, surrounded by wonderful views. The staff and the family are very friendly and they also have the cutest dogs! We felt comfortable and welcomed and the rooms had everything you need. It is just a ten minute drive from Salento, close to everything, but you still get to feel like you are away deep in the mountains. The breakfast was delicious. Would love to come again one day, one of the most lovely places we've ever been ❤️

Nothing. Just be prepared for a little bumpy ride from the farm to the Main Street. But this didn’t bother us at all & so worth it for the peacefulness we felt while on the farm.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. The family is very friendly and welcoming. Always available and willing to answer questions, give recommendations, & even rides for a reasonable price. We had our first horseback riding experience here and enjoyed it very much. Andres & Camilo were amazing hosts & Doña Martha is one of the nicest ladies we’ve met. We were so sad to leave but will most definitely stay here again on our next visit back. Highly recommend a stay at El Rancho de Salento when visiting el Eje Cafetero.
