Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWater is only tepid, even when the hot water is turned all the way on and no cold water is used. The bathroom on the first floor has a small shower where the water is a little hotter.
The apartment is charming and well-organized and Elias is a gracious host, which makes socializing with other guests easy and enjoyable, if desired. The first floor includes a long, narrow but well-stocked kitchen; spacious dining room, living room, fantastic patio, entry, bathroom and Elías's room, but it doesn't feel cluttered. The second floor has a small social TV area, the two "mountain view" bedrooms, the shared shower/bathroom (quite good), and the "executive" room with bathroom and PRIVATE jacuzzi in-suite. The "budget double room" is a third floor loft with private staircase, no door. The bad is hard and the ceiling low. It uses the shared bathroom on the second floor. "Executive Room" with in-suite bathroom and private jacuzzi: This is a nice room for a single man or a couple, however a solo female should be aware that it was previously the marital bedroom, has a prominent Marilyn Monroe poster, and well, Elías is flirty. Although the in-suite bathroom is almost fully functional (the sink has no hot water), it really needs remodel. As to the jacuzzi, I'm skeptical since the whole apartment lacks truly hot water. How could such a huge jacuzzi possibly be filled with HOT water? Perhaps Elías will explain. advantages: Security: community is gated and guarded by friendly professionals. (Originally only current or retired military or police could buy in.) Your identification will be photographed. Location: very safe overall with policed commercial areas at your convenience. Many, and major, parks within 30 minute walk, 15 minute bike ride, ask Elias! The City University is also close.

CanadaVery nice place. I only stayed one night, arriving late in the evening and leaving for a flight early the next morning, but it seemed like a place that would be nice to stay for longer. Great view from the window, and the host Elias was very friendly and accommodating. Conveniently located in a safe neighbourhood not far from the airport and Terminal Salitre.

United StatesThe room was nice and home is very nice. The neighborhood is also very safe and quite nice, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The host, Elias, was very accommodating, kind and helpful. I stayed for a month and would have stayed longer if my trip didn't have to come to an end. I would strongly recommend for short or long term stays!

FranceIt wasn't clear when I booked the flat that the laundry machine wasn't included, and the host asked for me to pay an extra cost at the end of my stay for using the laundry. Although Elias was arranging and flexible, I didn't expect to live with the host and his 9 year old daughter.
Lightly bedroom and overall apartment. Elias is welcoming and easy-going.

United KingdomElias was a fantastic host. He was welcoming, friendly and it was brilliant to practice my Spanish with him. It was also possible to refill my water bottle with filtered, chilled water and also to get coffee whenever you wish. The WiFi is extremely fast too. The views from both the room and balcony are amazing, and the security couldn't be better - it is in a gated block with security guards 24/7. The bed was also probably the most comfortable I've slept in over my whole trip. I would certainly book again if I'm in Bogotá.

New ZealandNothing. All good.
Great apartment, two floors, balconies, two lounge areas. The host, he was excellent, very willing to help. He and his daughter lived there or were there some of the time. It is a large 'penthouse', top floor apartment. In a gated community with a guard. Grocery store on the ground floor. The whole house is very well decorated with actually attractive pieces of art, lots that reference 1960's USA. Located about 30 minutes walk from the huge Parque Simon Bolivar and about 10 minutes from a main street of cafes and bars and the like. The room was fantastic. Large, with a good table (with a view) to work on. Bathroom, and a large spa pool (that i didn't use). There was a problem with the room initially, so the host gave me a free night to compensate. Great stuff.

EstoniaWe booked a room with a private bathroom but we were given a room with a shared bathroom. We arrived close to midnight after 24hrs of travelling so didn't want to get into it at the time, so can't say if it would have been resolved had we pointed it out. The room was nice but quite small and we saw that a solo traveller was given a room bigger than ours even though we were two people.
Elias is an amazing host! The apartment is in a great neighborhood with good amenities and in a secure, gated community with 24/7 security personnel.
