How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Cold water, but that's pretty standard in Colombia, bar didn't have most of the things on the menu in stock

The walk can be long to the beach, specially on a hot and humid day. I was with my mom and she is about to turn 80. So we would come back to the room for AC after the morning walk.
Priced well, and convincente location. The cleaning staff is great. Room was cleaned daily. Don’t forget to tip well, this goes a long way. As they work hard. The AC was working but the swivel was not, thought about getting a small fan. But dealt with it. The mini split was pointing directly at the door and not the beds.

The property was very well kept and the building was open and airy when it was very hot outside so that was nice to also have air conditioning inside the room.

I had a great stay at Viajero Hostel San Andrés. The staff were super friendly and always helpful, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was clean. I really liked the daily activities, which made it easy to meet new people, and the overall atmosphere was fun and social without being too loud. The location is central, the bar and common areas are great to hang out, and I felt safe and well taken care of. Definitely good value for money on the island.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. There is a Whatsapp group by the hostel where the staff informs timely on the weather conditions for activities at sea, and also proposes tour packages in the island. Nice rooftop view as well

The staff was very helpful and super nice. Location was close to everything and safe. !0 minutes walk from the airport. I did a dance class the hostel host and it was great.

I didn’t like that the A/C really didn’t cool down the room and the was no hot water.

Kitchen is quite small but does the job. Although not enough cutlery as forks and spoons were very hard to find ahah
Nice hostel in decent location in San Andres. Hostel staff are very friendly and organised lots of tours and evening events on the group chat. Managed to check in early after arriving on a very early flight which was great! Absolutely loved the pancakes for breakfast 🥞. Had an issue with a tv in our room which was fixed immediately by the staff

The coworking space could be improved. Not terrible and wifi works great, but there's not a single comfy chair to sit on for more than a couple of hours. And it's right next to reception which can get loud.
Great vibes, perfect for solo travellers! Lots of activities organised by the staff. Piero and Maria were awesome, and made everyone welcome! Rooms are spacious and clean.

It feels like a home in the heart of the city, where friends can joyfully work and have fun side by side. The staff are kind and helpful. There’s a lively WhatsApp group constantly inviting guests to various activities, including salsa dancing classes on the rooftop—great for exploring all the island has to offer. The room is spacious and the air conditioning works well. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. They could improve the bar a bit, and the breakfast—both in terms of price and variety—could be better. It reminded me of a university cafeteria breakfast. The fruits could be served fresher. And if you’re a tea lover—forget about tea on the island, it doesn’t exist. Here, you’ll be drinking coffee. Three days are enough to explore the island in general. But if you’re coming for a diving certificate, plan for 6 days: the training takes 4 days, and you’ll want a day before and after to rest. Enjoy your time!

The kitchen has two fridges and they are completely full. There was some food going bad inside. It was also expensive.
Place was great, very fun party at night, good room, friendly staff. Secure option for a good time
