This hostel is an absolute gem! The location couldn’t be more perfect — right on a gorgeous beach with stunning views. The host was incredible and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and at home. The staff was equally amazing — so friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about us during our entire stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming, and unforgettable escape!

The stairs up to the room and the ones to the sea were pretty steep, so this is not a place for the physically impaired.

It was awesome to have the sunbeds down by the sea in the shade, especially since the weather was so hot. Hammocks by the room were also great, but it was a bit too hot up there in the day. The plankton night swimming activity was super nice!

Incredibly friendly staff supported us throughout our short stay (even guided us to the next village to find a place for dinner as we were too late for their internal dinner). The view from our apartment was absolutely fantastic and the "chill-out facilities" (benches hammocks, etc.) right next to the shore are great. We also really loved to see how they were supporting the local community through an ecological project.

Dorm was very small.,we were 3 girls in a 4 bed dorm and there was hardly any space for luggage. and we could not be in the room at the same time, apart from sleeping as there was no space Apparently some rooms had bed bugs. I got bitten by some insects, but hopefully only mosquitoes.

Very nice place. There is a small beach where you can snorkel and see the fishes super close from the shore. The view is spectacular. The hostel is very clean and they take recycling very seriously. The food was nice, the staff was so sweet and helpful, even if I couldn’t speak spanish. I initially booked a bed in a dorm, but when i arrived i ended up getting a beautiful private. Anyways, 10/10. I loved it!

Our only issue was a group of students who stayed up late one night singing and playing music close to our room. Because the place is open to the elements you can hear everything. This isn't the hostels fault, however we thought music etc was supposed to be off after a certain time and you are woken very early by the sun and birds so this did impact our stay for one of the nights. But it's really not a big issue as we still had an amazing time

The place is a lovely slice of paradise. It was very calming and peaceful and there was plenty of activities to do. Snorkeling from the accommodation was amazing and the staff were all incredible. The food in the restaurant is also amazing!

A small paradise with friendly staff and great activities. I highly recommend the bioluminescent plancton evening tour. I really appreciated that this place treads lightly on the environment.. with water and electricity usage.

We love Hamaquero! It's a unique spot in the Rosario Islands because they highly value the coral reefs around the island and have great snorkel gear to use. It's a quiet and relaxing spot. It is a little pricey, especially for people who live in Colombia. Because of that we have to limit our stays to one or two nights.

I liked everything about this place but this isn’t a super fancy resort, if you like a more relaxed, backpacker style place you will love it.

Excellent value for solo travellers, the ‘dorm’ beds are almost like private rooms. Great place to unwind and relax with the ocean, plenty of hammock and sun lounger space for everyone. Food is good value (panini were amazing) and great tour to see the plankton- lots of other activity available. Lovely staff. Would recommend.

Just minor points, really. The sheets were a bit small for the bed, which made for a rough sleep at times. It took a rough night to find out that the mosquito nets weren't properly set up; my mistake for not knowing, and it was solved immediately when I brought it up, but it would have been nice. Again, just minor points.

Amazing spot right on the water, and a great ethos and approach to eco-friendly stays. The activities offered were an incredible mix of wondrous and sustainable, and the facilities were well kept. The staff clearly enjoyed their work, and were happy to interact. All in all, a great place to be.

Amazing, relaxing location, the staff are very helpful! You could stay here for a very long time, relaxing and enjoying the incredible water. The food in the restaurant was also very nice.

Mattress wasn’t very comfortable It wasn’t a bother for me, but if you are looking for total serenity and silence then, as others have mentioned, there is a beach club next door, but they stop playing music around 16-17. However, I would avoid going on a weekend because the boat traffic increased by a lot on the Saturday. Some of the boats drove very close to the swimming area and a lot don’t slow down at all so they create big swells for swimmers.

The outdoor areas are pretty fantastic, plenty of seating and hammocks with choice of sun or shade and of course the deck with access to the wonderful sea. I thought the food in the restaurant was good and not more expensive than in the walled city in Cartagena especially considering all food has to be brought to the island. Appreciated several vegetarian options that could also be veganised.
