Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThere isn’t an on-site restaurant, though there are food options close by in the city center. It’s more of a simple, functional base than a full-service resort.
The hotel is new and modern compared to many options on the island, and it actually has hot water — a big plus. The room had all the basics I needed for a functional and comfortable stay.

Staff was great and very accommodating. Was nice we could text through WhatsApp and get what we needed for the room and they arranged our taxi back to airport. Everyone was great. Great location- walking distance to everything, great wifi, + hot water.

BrazilOur experience at Hotel Delamare was excellent! The location is great — just a four-minute walk from the beach — which made everything very convenient. The value for money is outstanding, considering the comfort and services offered. Even though the room didn’t have a window, our stay was very comfortable. The bed was wonderful, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and both the room and bathroom had plenty of space. One of the highlights was the rooftop Jacuzzi — perfect for relaxing — and also a great spot to get some fresh air and enjoy the night sky, which brought a peaceful feeling. Another great touch was the coffee and cappuccino machine available in the lobby — a delightful and always welcome treat. And we can’t forget to mention the amazing arepas from the café next door, an excellent choice for breakfast. We’d like to give a special thank-you to the receptionist Dana, who was simply wonderful throughout our stay. She was kind, attentive, and always ready to help — her warmth truly made a difference in our experience. Congratulations on your professionalism and care for the guests! We definitely recommend the hotel and would gladly stay there again!

BrazilThere’s not much of a view from the hotel, but that’s more due to the surrounding area than the hotel itself. My only real complaint is that there’s no place or machine on-site to buy bottled water or snacks—a small vending machine would really improve the experience.
The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach, with plenty of stores around, and only about ten minutes from the police deck, which is where many boat and water activities start. The staff were very friendly, the room was spotless, and the bathroom had lots of hooks and rails, which I found really useful. The air-conditioning and TV worked great, and the shower had clean, hot water—something I appreciated, especially after hearing that some hotels in San Andrés have salty or only cold water. There’s also a free coffee machine in the lobby with options like espresso and macchiato. The rooftop is simple but pleasant; I didn’t try the jacuzzi, but it looked nice.

United StatesMy room had no windows - which honestly wasn't a huge deal, but I would have liked to at least be aware of that beforehand.. Also, the power went out for about 45 min/hr on my last day, so I was having to pack in the dark .. I'm aware that's not necessarily the hotel's fault, but that's when the no window detail became more of an issue/inconvenience
The beds were super comfortable, there were hot showers/air conditioning, and the terrace was gorgeous. All of the staff was very kind

DenmarkNothing negative about this hotel
The hotel is brand new, in an amazing location close to the beach. The bed was very comfortable and there was was hot water available all the time Upon check out we could store our luggage in the reception and enjoy the beach. There is a common shower on the ground floor and the receptionist offered us clean towels so we didn’t have to fly covered in sand.

United KingdomSan Andres is a rather down at heel island, totally over-populated and crowded. One wonders where all the money that is squeezed out of you at every opportunity goes. You pay an island entry fee, pay the highest price for taxis, get the lowest exchange rates of anywhere in Colombia, and pay through the nose for any trips or 'golf buggy' hire. If the locals think they can charge you, they will!
Good location, with very helpful staff. Nice to have a free coffee machine as it was the only thing free on the island!

United StatesThe room was a little small but exactly as advertised. I wish that they had been more forgiving about the charge due to the extreme difficulties we had with the airline getting to the hotel. We were charged for the full 4 days despite only being there 3 days(airline kept us overnight in Bogota (canceled our afternoon flight). No beachfront view.
The room was exactly as advertised Clean and a very nice shower. The staff was responsive to our needs and requests. Location was central to town and very close to the beach. Easy to and from.
