Their is AC in the room, but the windows at the top of the room did not close completely. I didn't want to run the AC and waste the cold air with an open window.

Cruz Roja was a great hotel as a base for exploring the Amazonas. You can walk from the airport to the hotel and you can easily walk into town as well. The beds were comfortable and the room was large enough to spread out. The breakfast was tasty.

First of all, I didn’t realize that Cruz Roja means Red Cross! So, not only you're staying and enjoying your trip, but you’re also helping others at the same time. Secondly, the staff there are amazing people—warm and welcoming. Even though I don’t speak Spanish and they don’t speak English, we were still able to connect and understand each other. The location was perfect for catching an early morning flight since it’s close to the airport. Although, the town itself is quite small. Room was super clean and comfortable. They have AC, wi-fi and provide a tasty breakfast. I would love to stay there again someday.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at Cruz Roja in Leticia, easily the best experience of my entire trip in Colombia! The staff here are simply amazing—friendly, funny, and always willing to help. They made everything easy and enjoyable, from modifying my booking dates to storing my belongings while I traveled deeper into the jungle. They helped coordinate with a tour agency, which was a huge plus. Each morning, they cooked delicious meals, and we had great and easy conversations over breakfast. Their kindness and warmth made me feel at home, and I truly appreciated their care and attention. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are very spacious with air conditioning—an absolute necessity in the Amazon! One detail I particularly loved was the adjustable lighting in the rooms, allowing you to switch between cold and warm tones. Small things like this really make a difference. Just keep in mind, like everywhere in the Amazon, there is no hot water—but that's to be expected. The location is convenient, just a short drive from the airport, and while it's not the most walkable area due to an open field separating it from the city center, tuk-tuks are cheap and fast. Getting around Leticia is very easy, as it's a small town. Another reason to stay here: the hotel contributes part of its profits to the Red Cross Foundation. So by staying here, you're also supporting a great cause. Huge thanks to the entire staff for making my stay in Leticia unforgettable! If you're visiting the Amazon and want a comfortable, welcoming place with amazing hospitality, I highly recommend Cruz Roja.

Nothing - one of my best stays in Colombia

This is a wonderful hotel on the North end of town, a 15 min walk to the airport and approx 15 min walk from the port or Parque Santander to see the parrots at twilight. The facilites are very clean (one of the cleanest floors I've seen anywhere in the world!) and whoever makes the beds could win competitions. The AC and fans in the room were incredible after a few days in the Amazon. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits, jugo, eggs, bread and coffee. The supermercado Hiper is very close which was very convenient for supplies. There is a military academy and Red Cross office nearby and the area felt safe, even for a solo female traveller. The highlight is the staff - I had one of the warmest welcomes I have had in Colombia, and felt very well cared for by all the staff. The dog Waira is a real cutie. Thank you Hotel Solimoes for a great stay

As soon as we had arrived, the receptionist brought us glasses of cold, fresh orange juice. She also started organizing us field trips and booked a guide to tell more about the trips. Within an hour after our arrival, we had field trips ready to start. And all the people serving us in those trips were professionals and friendly. When we returned from our second trip (day + night in the rainforest), she prepared us a tasty breakfast.

Spacious room with wall size window feature. Comfortable beds with 2 extremely fluffy and relaxing pillows for each. Very good location for both city center and airport. Very quiet area but not isolated.

Breakfast could have more options and be served partially in the form of a buffet. Marmelades, cheese and stuff should be added. A small fridge in the room would be great as well. But we were allowed to use the general one.

The staff is very friendly and gentle. Everything is still new. As we stayed for several days, they make you feel at home. Overall a great place to stay.
