The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but there are several networks to choose from, and if you move around, you can usually connect to one that works.

The staff were friendly, especially Sanja, who deserves the Employee of the Century award. This helped create a welcoming social vibe, which is important in Medellín, the party capital of the world. The beds had privacy curtains. The breakfast was yummy!

As usual in Medellin, the price is too high for a hostel

Good location in a calm street with view to the woods but 5 minutes to the busy Provenza nightlife. Social area to meet other guests. If you get the double bed it is really comfortable.

We got the room next to the kitchen which was loud. if you are unlucky to get that room turn the fan on so it can drown out some of the noise.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Good location for Pablado but a 30 minute walk to the metro which we didn’t mind. Nice common areas.

if you want to go out I don’t recommend this place since it’s already a bit outside el poblado and I didn’t feel safe walking back home alone at night.

if you’re looking for a calm place to stay that it’s still walking distance from el poblado this is it. the rooms were really big and spacious.

Unfortunately there was a construction site next door - completely out of the hostels control, but being awoken at 6am every morning was not ideal!

The location was ideal for us - close to restaurants, supermarket and in a quiet area. The staff were amazing - incredibly helpful with tour information, transport etc but also very chatty and interested in us. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked. We enjoyed the outside common space. Breakfast included pancakes which was a nice treat. The fruit was freshly cut every morning. The walk to and from the hostel to the main Poblado area, even at night, felt very safe.

A tiny far off the Main Street, and the rooms need a little better ventilation

Very nice Greek place. Most of the time the place is quite, you don't hear the noise of the pubs and clubs but it's a short distance away, they also arrange tours at a good price. The workers and the volunteer who was there in the evening were also very nice and welcomed me nicely for the first time in Colombia. By the way, the guy from Greece who is at night has good taste in music. (Unlike the other employees...😉.)

Only down fall is sometimes the smell of cigarettes would come into the room from downstairs but it would quickly air.out.

Honestly a perfect hostel to experience poblado/Medellin. I started my trip here and could not have asked for a better stay. Nice big rooms, I was in the large dorm and actually got a queen sized bed! That's a first. The location is 1 block away from busy poblado but is surrounded by nature and tranquility! Great breakfast, great staff, clean, secure. for the price I wouldn't go anywhere else. Keep it up!

The Arcadia team is really kind and helpful. They helped me to get to know the city and to participate in various activities. The hostel offers also salsa classes. I would definitely recommend to everyone to spend some days there.

Everything was good.

The hostel is very cosy with an amazing staff. The location is also good - just ~7mins away from a busy area at walking distance, so the noise from the streets are avoided. Isa, the reception girl was incredibly nice and helpful with the things / questions I had. The owner is super friendly, making you feel as in your home. Very easy to connect with other travellers in cosy terrace or common area. One evening there was a free salsa class and another evening the owner made a bbq (not free of charge, but was totally worth it!)

1. There is literally NO communication between the owner and anybody who works there. It doesn’t matter what’s the issue, everybody tells you different things and nobody is responsible (the girl behind the reception gets blamed for everything by the owner or it’s the companies, but never him) 2. They wanted to charge me for an extra night when I checked in early (after telling me it’s totally fine) and they wanted to charge me more because I was in the wrong room (after telling me I should go there) 3. The room got robbed and the owner decided not to talk to anyone who got robbed (he said: “we can not do anything about robbery” - like thanks for nothing)…also a locker got kicked in 4. They booked many of us on “english tours” which were basically spanish tours with somebody summarizing 5 min of talking in spanish up into 20 sec in English (and yes, we could tell there was missing a lot of information)
