How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I felt so looked after and taken care of here! It put me so at ease that Hernando and Nancy were very communicative with me, reaching out after I booked to see when my flight would arrive. Then the day of my flight they reached out, shared their live location and Hernando was waiting for me outside to greet me. It felt like coming home to family who genuinely care about you. He also then walked me to a nearby pizzeria and helped me orient myself to make sure I would easily find their place on my way back. Nancy woke up early the day of my flight to see me out. The room was very comfortable and clean with good WiFi. I loved that the neighborhood was lively at night with shops, restaurants, bakeries and people hanging out so I felt safe. I highly recommend staying here. Without traffic it’s about a 12-15 minute drive from the airport.

Very close to the airport. Great for spending a couple of hours in an actual room with a bed and a shower. The owners were really nice and met us at 3AM for our checkout.

Wow what a couple! This married couple went above and beyond to accommodate me after a missed flight. Very close to el dorado airport. If I ever need to stay near the airport again, this is where I will be! Affordable!

The room didn’t have a window or a fan, so it wasn’t well ventilated

Wifi was a bit slow and the water in the bathroom didn't get very hot.
Pickup process was smooth and a fair price. Staff are really friendly. Great location close to the airport and lots of restaurants, bakeries, parks, etc. Room was clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Overall, excellent value.

the neighborhood which is not the owners problem. they made sure the accommodation is very safe and secured.
Everything. The staff and owner were very welcoming, kind, helpful, and nice. They are very contactable via whatsapp and would be ready to receive us in front of the property. the room was very clean with kitchen and bathroom that had warm shower. the beds were also very comfortable and very clean.

Hernando and Nancy were so welcoming and accommodating! The bed was very comfortable & the room was very peaceful and quiet, and it’s close to many cafes and shops!

We only wanted to rest up before our flight, so arrived about 3 pm and left for airport at about 10pm after our flight with Avianca was delayed by 3 hours (This airline gets 0-10 and I would never fly with them again. The hosts Hernando and Nancy were 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. Although we were only staying for a short time, Nancy showed us a lovely little eatery with home cooked food....excellent value and the best meal we had eaten since arriving in Colombia 3 weeks ago( 4 bottles of beer, 2 chicken soups and 2 very substantial main courses for only 72,000 pesos or £14). I didnt have much cash left so Hernando lent me some money and I then used my debit card back in the house. This is not the ritz by any means, but for a real taste of Bogota and the room for 2 people was under £15 including breakfast, which we did not have, this was fantastic value for money. I would thoroughly recommend this place....great value. Many thanks Hernando and Nancy....Great people
