Overall it is a good stay.

The hotel is located in a nice location of the old Lo Wu area. The nice part about this it is close to many great restaurants. I got upgraded to a business king room, which is an average level 5-star room. It is well-facilitated. It does have a bathtub, which is nice. The room is clean. They have a swimming pool and they insist on everyone to wear a swimming cap. If you don’t have one, they sell for $US 7. The breakfast is somewhat disappointing since I was pretty much looking forward to it. There were many options of food, but none of them seem to be made with quality ingredients. I think the hotel is slightly overpriced given what you get. Their staff are friendly. They even sent me night fruit, which is very nice. Thank you.

The executive lounge was closed. Should’ve informed earlier. So that I don’t need to upgrade to the executive level. The orientation of the room layout wasn’t good. It’s uncomfortable where the bed is facing both the toilet and entrance.

The pricing part from last time was a bit more. For regular guests there should be some sort of package deal.

Staff of most of the hotels I have stayed in Shenzhen before May 2023 can't speak English and so communication is a big problem. But in Sunshine hotel many staff, be it at reception or restaurant or at room service can speak English. It is a good clean hotel with courteous and helpful staff.

Another chef at the breakfast time making omelette in my last two days stay. He did not played any heed to my need and his customer approach was not friendly towards a foreigner. I was very upset as even after waiting for 10mins he didn't prepared my omlette and kept making omlette just to stock int he tray. Highly unprofessional guy. Spa was not operational at any of the days. I tried checking almost everyday.

First time, I felt a Chinese hotel employees so conversant in English. Which made me little more comfortable in conveying my needs. Overall good location and connectivity. I stayed for 5 days. The first four days the chef at the omlette counter was really friendly and good guy. I just have told him once what I needed and next three days he started preparing the egg white omlette just when I entered for the breakfast. True professional and I was very happy with his attitude.

Actually they should take care on cleaning the coffee machine in the restaurant. It seems to have some residue on the machine recently.

Their location is next to checkpoint, so it is convenient to me to visit HK. They upgraded my room into high level one, very good.

two things, limited food options , only Chinese food available. the corridor carpet in floor 12 is dirty! which is strange because the rooms are super clean, the whole hotel is very clean and neat, this carpet is dirty and have a smell of wet dirty carpet which upset me.

A had an allergic reaction with difficulty in breathing due of the airrefresher they are using in the hotel so i have to cancel 2 nights for 2 room as I was staying with family for 3 nights and they agreed on it and got confirmation email however the money after 2 months did not return to my cc account and no one is taking action despite many calls and emails been sent to them from myself and the customer care of booking.com.

Interior was very old and weary. Television remote was not working. Toilet was not flushing properly.

Tried to call room service 30 minutes before close. Phone was picked up and you could hear they didn't want to take the order. Called 2nd time there phone was lifted.

Hotel is rather old. Staff like managers and room cleaners were nice.....however some of the service staff average.
