Most of the staff at the counter can only converse in Mandarin. Quite a challenge for foreigners or those not so fluent in Mandarin. This was the source of most of our hiccups.

Problem is in finding food at the hotel and around the area.

It's an older property, but still well maintained and the staff did their best to accommodate our needs in English, as we didn't speak Mandarin. At the reception, Charlene was really helpful in the English support. The amenities were good, with the hot tub, gym and pool room. It's nearby the Futian center and their malls are easily accessible with short DiDi rides.

Staff attentiveness: There were 2 staff, 1 was engaged with a check-in and the other 1 didn't seem to be on duty. She was just engrossed in her paperwork around at the counter and did not acknowledge me. While I was queueing behind the lady who was checking in, someone came from behind me and approached the other staff who did not acknowledge me and she proceeded to serve her instead. I do feel the staff could have been more attentive and noticed that there was someone waiting for her instead of just serving whoever approached her, with no regards to the queue.

Check-in was smooth though the counter staff were just professional, not welcoming but not unfriendly. Felt like they were just doing their jobs.

Facilities and rooms starting to show a little bit of age but regardless, fully stocked (laundry, microwave, kitchen) for a serviced apartment style stay.

Staff were attentive throughout our stay and rooms were spacious! A quick Didi ride to the main shops (i.e. CoCo Park) etc. and a few local shops around the corner

We had a fantastic stay at Somerset Grandview Hotel Shenzhen. The rooms were fabulous – spacious, comfortable, and very well-maintained. The reception was excellent, and I want to give a special mention to Charlene and Alan at the front desk. They were incredibly helpful, professional, and always had a friendly smile. Their assistance made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Housekeeping was top-notch – the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive, and every detail was taken care of with care and precision. The location is ideal if you're attending the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, just a short and convenient walk away. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shenzhen, especially for business trips.

The location is little far away from the metro, but it’s easy to get the taxi just outside the property, and costs is low.

The property is very nice spacious, very clean the kitchen is very equipped, the washer and dryer are helpful for us to stay for five days .

The sewage ditch outside the hotel is smelly.
