How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe are really impressed with the facilities and services at this hotel. The rooms and surroundings are tastefully decorated and arranged, everything provided was at high quality and with attention paid to the details. We were given toiletries, complimentary drinks and snacks. The breakfast and supper services were the highlights! I have also used their meditation room which was excellent to relax after a long flight.

Verified reviewThe hotel lobby was nice just as the photos showed, and it smelled good too. We get to choose the scent for the room, it’s my first time encountering such experience. Rooms were clean and the location is great! Really enjoyed the toiletries as they uses lelabo. Breakfast, afternoon tea and supper were provided throughout the whole stay.
The room size is a bit on the smaller size to fit 3 although it’s already the largest one they have in this hotel.

Verified reviewI would like to extend a special thank you to Ron Gao, General Manager, for his meticulous arrangements and heartfelt support throughout our stay.
The front desk staff tend to focus more on following procedures rather than fully attending to the specific needs of the customers.

Verified reviewLovely hotel, clean and modern with a great Japanese design. Location is very convenient and staff is very friendly and helpful, however there is a bit of a language barrier.
Breakfast is alright, would like a bit more western verity since I personally don’t eat any food for breakfast. We also had an incident at the hotel where either someone went into our room and smoked or neighbors did smoke so our room did stink crazy, and both we ate non smokers and so does the hotel claim to be. It was a hick up with changing room it took a very long time and many discussions and we needed to wait in the lobby late in the night so that was frustrating. However the next day management sincerely apologize and compensate for it so overall a good experience and would recommend to stay! We’re probably just unlucky with our situation.

Verified reviewThe facility is new and clean with an efficient staff. The location is convenient. 5 min walk to the 10/12 line. And 8 min to the Beijing road end of the bund. There are plenty of Chinese eateries around. With the price at less than half of Bellagio nearby, Savhe is a great bang for the buck choice for travelers who like to be out and about.
We are a couple traveling with a teenager. We booked a larger two-bed room. The bed is twin sized and hard for two people to sleep in. But it seems every hotel has such a twin bed set up.

Verified reviewThe Hotel is very new, heard it's just open in Q1'2025. The room, central area and facilities are all in new condition. The staff are actively to help out if you need anything, they always greeting you everywhere they meet you. The room I got have an issue on the check in date very late night with the facial sink, they move us to the new larger room for the entire stay. The hotel offer afternoon tea and night light meal every day, if you stay the whole day in the hotel, you would probably no need to order other outside food. The aroma stick is really give you a pleasant feeling and help you sleep better. The mattress and pillow are so nice and comfy. I'd come back to stay again for my short trip due to the variety of the breakfast.
Not every staff can communicate in English. The breakfast was variety and good taste, however, throughout my 1 week stay, the menus are all the same for every morning, so I get bored after the 3rd day. The night time snack also similar to some of the breakfast menu and they provide same menu every day. It's a bit far from metro if you walk, but very convenience with taxi. There're smoking smell come out from the ventilation even though I request the non-smoking room, I think this is a common issue in China as the people smoke everywhere.
