The place seems a bit dates but clean, also one thing that might surprise people is the bathtub in the middle of the room, and glass door for the shower and the toilet. If you are a shy pooper and are going to stay there with people you are not entirely comfortable with, beware :) Other than that, no major complaints, maybe one more thing is the sliding balcony door, there is no proper handle there so you touch glass when opening or closing the doors, thus you tend to leave smudges on the glass which does not look good, the hotel should think about adding handles. Generally, nothing major to complain about.

A good hotel in a great location, right by the beach, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, also dances and singing on the beach strip in the evenings - quite picturesque and entertaining. The pool is a great option, it's spacious and clean on top of that it is mostly empty cos the Chinese do not seem to be keen swimmers. The room we got was ok, though it is a bit dated, nevertheless it was clean and had all the necessary amenitites. Generally, I can recommend this place for a summer stay. The ladies working in the restaurant on the ground floor are super friendly and helpful to waiguoren (white people/foreigners), they tried to help us choose food, tended to our daughter etc. super nice, big kudos to them.

Initially, our allocated room was on a lower floor which was a bit noisy due to the construction outside, but the managers handled our request for a quieter room in timely manner.

We enjoyed staying at Shengyi hotel, as the manager Mrs Lin was fantastic in her understanding of our needs. She was accommodating to change our room to higher floor as we needed a quiet corner room. Staff were friendly to provide cleaning product for our laundry use, and extra chair for our need. We liked the convenience to walk to the beach and to the town centre. Ear plugs were provided which was so useful.

Wish there was more hanging space in the bathroom for our bath towels. The boardwalk by the beach was bustling with activity (a very interesting walk!) - do be prepared for sounds of singing and dancing from the morning into the night but everyone is very considerate, all activity stops at 930pm so you can have a good rest at night!

The location of Shengyi Holiday Villa was excellent! It was conveniently located in the Sanya city centre, and a short ride to any attraction be it Yalong Bay or TianYaHaiJiao (they are in opposite directions). There are plenty of good restaurants and interesting malls just a short stroll away. The hotel was located on the bustling beachfront and we enjoyed the large balconies with wonderful seaviews. Our rooms were very nicely appointed and very comfortable. The hotel had a welcoming, beachy atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful!

The corridors and apartment lift lobby areas are non-air conditioned, so feels hot and humid, can't wait to get back into the rooms.

Nice view of the ocean from the rooms with balcony. Huge 40sqm+ rooms with separate lounge areas/sofa. Nice buffet breakfast. Friendly staff

Not on the beach front - have to cross the road. Location isn’t the best - Not much stuff around.

Staff tried there best to speak English! Outdoor swimming pool is nice but not heated. Breakfast was good but very busy!

Breakfast can get crowded, so go early. Translation app needed for communication with staff, but not a problem.

Excellent location by the beach and short walk to the bus stop for trips. Wonderful view of the bay from our room, sea view and balcony strongly recommended. Excellent swimming outdoor pool and shaded from the sun whilst swimming. Very spacious room, excellent provision of water every day. Bed comfortable and large, although mattress a bit hard. Very useful having family room with two toilets.

We thought that breakfast was little expensive.

Staff were very helpful even though they did not speak English. Advised us as much as they could. Our room had a great view also.
