Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

IrelandDisappointing Stay at a Supposed 5-Star Hotel My recent stay at this hotel fell far short of the standards expected of a 5-star establishment. Below are the critical issues that marred our experience: 1. Outdated Facilities: The hotel’s decor is visibly dated, with furnishings and interiors showing significant wear. It’s evident that renovations have been neglected for years, which detracts from the ambiance and comfort promised by a luxury property. 2. Hygiene Concerns: Upon arrival, we discovered one of the hand towels in our room was heavily soiled, raising serious questions about housekeeping standards. This unsettling experience forced us to purchase disposable towels for the remainder of our stay—an inconvenience that should never occur at a hotel of this caliber. 3. Shockingly Unwelcoming Lobby Policy: The most egregious issue was the hotel’s lack of a proper lobby seating area for guests. While there is seating in the bar, it is strictly reserved for paying customers. During a brief 20-second wait for my family (who were in the adjoining shop), a staff member abruptly demanded I either order overpriced drinks or vacate the area -- there isn't a soul there other than myself. As a paying hotel guest, I was appalled by this inflexibility and lack of basic hospitality. In decades of staying at hotels worldwide, I’ve never encountered such a dismissive attitude toward guests seeking a momentary place to sit. While I initially considered a 3-star rating for the dated facilities and hygiene lapses, the hostile lobby policy alone warrants deducting two additional points. A 5-star hotel should prioritize guest comfort and dignity—this establishment failed on both fronts. I cannot recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to both amenities and staff training.
The staff are all quite helpful and friendly, although some refused to deliver our take away and we have to go downstairs to pick things up.
