I recently stayed at the Shenzhen Plaza Hotel for the second time during a business trip, and once again, it was an outstanding experience. The location is perfect—right in Huaqiang Bay, which makes it ideal for both business and leisure. The rooms are luxurious, impeccably clean, and offer breathtaking views, as the lobby is located on the 23rd floor and all guest rooms are above that level. What truly makes this hotel stand out, however, is the service. I would especially like to highlight the exceptional support and kindness of Mr. Jonathan Yang. He welcomed me at check-in as if I were a VIP, speaking fluent English and making me feel right at home from the very beginning. Throughout my stay, he assisted me several times—whether it was with Alipay or configuring mobile data on my phone—and always went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth. Because of this experience, I can confidently say I won’t be booking any other hotel in Shenzhen. It felt like home away from home, which means a lot when you travel frequently. Full marks from me—highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Huaqiang Plaza Hotel. The location is excellent — right in the middle of the electronics district with the metro just steps away — and my room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The service, however, is what truly made this hotel stand out. Every staff member I met was helpful, but I especially want to thank Jonathan. One night I was struggling to order food through local apps, and he kindly used his own phone to help me place an order. That level of care is something I’ll never forget. I also had a small issue with my fridge not working, and within minutes the staff came up and replaced it with a brand-new minibar fridge. The speed and efficiency with which they handled it was really impressive. Amenities were also great, and the hotel itself feels quiet and well-managed despite the busy surroundings. Overall, Huaqiang Plaza exceeded my expectations — both for comfort and for outstanding service. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shenzhen.

The mini bar option could be better with a change of drink option.

The location of the Hotel is excellent. The best hotel in the vicinity. The night snacks was good and was thoughtful of the hotel to offer it. The on-the-house coffee on the 23rd floor lobby was ideal for morning dose. The fact that the basement has plenty of food options and links to the next building and subway was excellent. Will come back to this hotel if I do come back again.

Breakfast could be better. I was coming half an hour before the end of the breakfast time, many dishes were already gone and not refilled. Fruit were scarce, food was not great overall

WiFi was good enough for what I needed. My only complaint is that despite being on a no smoking floor, there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. This was everywhere in china including taxis etc. couldn’t get the 24 hr waiter to work on phone and room service options limited

Great location, easy access by metro to everything including airport. Big clean spacious room, comfortable bed and washroom. Electric curtains and all smart needs for outlets etc. laundry facilities free to use and Starbucks on ground lobby. Would def stay again. Jonathan at reception was fantastic.

Bathroom needs a deep clean

The hotel is very well located, right in the heart of Shenzhen’s tech district and just a 10 meter walk from the subway station entrance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful and kind throughout my stay. I had an issue with the currency exchange machine in the hotel lobby, but Ms. Kiana went above and beyond to assist me. She quickly helped me getting in contact with the bank and sending the money that got stuck in the machine later in my account. Really appreciate!
