The design of this hotel is superb. It’s been really well thought out to enable you to feel like you are visiting an ancient building in China. We slept very well in the comfortable room. The location is excellent as it’s in the middle of the old town. We were highly impressed by the receptionist who checked us in - Long. She was very attentive with helping us to book a Sichuan opera next to the hotel. There was a severe rainstorm as we were about to leave the event and we were surprised and happy to see she had made the special effort to bring us an umbrella for our return. Really thoughtful. Thanks Long! :-D

Tricky to find when we arrived very late but very easy after that.

Fabulous, traditional building in a great location and close to a Metro station. The staff were really helpful and friendly and we enjoyed staying here enormously!

Nothing, everything was great.

This hotel exceeded all expectations, amazing value for money in an area that is as nice as the wide and narrow alleys minus the crowds. I really feel I got lucky booking this place. Paid for hotels in Japan that cost 5 times the amount for the same quality. English speaking staff, amazing attention to detail, great in room cosmetics. Great area, awesome value. Couldn't be more pleased.

I loved this hotel! It has a truly authentic, Chinese style. It gave us a real taste of China. The location could not be better in the whole of city. Really fantastic. Staff very obliging, overall a great experience.

The stairs. If u have large luggage which we did cause we bought alot of things in china it would be a struggle to carry down from third floor to ground floor

I liked EVERYTHING!!

Absolutely beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The beds were super comfy, the shower was really powerful, the balcony was huge and the room was spacious. The receptionist, xiao long (I do hope I spelt that right) was so helpful and kind. I hurt my back so she offered to take me to the pharmacy, and also helped with the language barrier when we got there. She also organised drivers to take me places, a real asset to the company!.

I like the staff’s friendliness. Iris was always available and professional. A real delight to talk to and receive information from. The hotel is precious, well appointed and gave an old charm vibe. Close to the metro station and in a beautiful pedestrian neighborhood. I totally recommend it!

Breakfast needs a new and bigger coffee machine and better continental breakfast as they have mostly foreigners coming. The spa could also be working, a part of it looks abandoned.

It is a little bit tricky to find and maps showed us incorrect locations. We had to search for a while with our bags as it is not on DiDi. Once we knew the location we ordered taxis to a local tea house that is nearby.

Poor soundproof in the room. Unfortunately, we woke up every morning around 6 am. due to the noise coming from the street.

Great atmosphere and lovely building. The area was peaceful and felt relaxing. The room was cozy and extremely clean. Reception recommended an amazing massage place just 10 minutes away.

Everything. Excellent English speaking staff. Great location in an old neighbourhood, close to Wenshu Monastery and the metro station bearing its name. Boutique hotel combining antique furniture and modern amenities. Great value for money. Superb view from the balcony.

Since the property is in the middle of a pedestrian square, it was difficult to direct our DiDi to find the correct location and still had to walk about 100 m from the road with our luggage on stone to reach the front door. Better directions to the location would have been helpful! Breakfast was mostly Chinese foods and lacked some typical staples like juice!

Right in the middle of a touristy pedestrian square surrounded by local cuisine and shops! The hotel is decorated with traditional Chinese furniture, zen gardens, and artifacts transporting you into ancient China but with modern amenities! Staff were friendly and tried to speak English or use translation apps to communicate.

The breakfast options were tasty, but a bit limited. I missed having traditional milk for my coffee and fruit juices

In a charming neighborhood with lots of restaurants and places to explore. The Wenshu Monastery is right nearby. The hotel is in a traditional style which we very much enjoyed and it is in a pedestrian courtyard so very little street noise. Staff was lovely and helpful.
