How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWas one of the nicest place we been staying in Chile and must say in the world. New, modern hotel in the forest . Nice decorated makes connection to the nature. We been traveling out of the season and get full servise , even we been only one guests . Food, drinks, staff are excellent . The room is spacious , WARM ! cosy, Area is nice you can just walk around in the garden and forest in the morning, peaceful. Want to come back. Definitely regiment!

Verified reviewBeautiful place, in the middle of a tree forest, wonderful accommodations, nice staff, clean,quiet, well equipped. Nice pool, nice views.
The road to get there is awful, you need a 4x4 car. It is far from everything, so once you leave the place you need to stay away for hours. It is not a place that you can drive easily back and forth. Once you arrive at the place, you are happy because the ambiance is great!

Verified reviewThe resort is so unusual and forward thinking in its design and integration with nature that we enjoyed just spending the day relaxing in our room and balcony. The staff bends backwards to see that all your needs are met. Food and drinks were excellent and only slightly more than in town. I encourage you to give this place a try.

Verified reviewThis was definitely the best place we stayed in during our trip! The pictures do not really capture the beauty of this place. As soon as you enter you understand you reached a special place. The design of the common areas, the restaurant and the rooms is out of the ordinary and you can tell they really invested in every small detail. Only 10 cabins makes the place feel like a unique boutique experience with a small restaurant serving local food and amazing cocktails! Above all the service is what makes this place so special. The owner and Cata who manages everything were super friendly and helpful with everything and the staff made sure we were happy and all our needs attended to. We wanted to stay for longer but unfortunately they had no available rooms for additional days so my suggestion is to book in advance as this place is small and unique and gets fully booked quickly. Would love to return one day! Thank you for welcoming us and making our trip special.

Verified reviewBeautiful style and friendly welcome, the owner knows the area well and speaks good English and can advise on the best things to see and do. The pool area is great after a tiring walk. The bedroom is beautifully designed and comfortable and it was a treat to have YouTube, Apple TV etc! The food is exceptional both for breakfast and dinner, delicious, fresh and carefully presented too.
The access road is rough but ok in a SUV slowly.

Verified reviewIts a contemporary boutique lodge nestled within the araucarian forest , 20 min from Pucon. The architecture and the interior design of the place is inspiring, warm and is in perfect symmetry with its surroundings. The tranquility of the scenery . All the rooms are beautifully and sustainably designed and everything is new and well maintained. Alejandro and Cata have been wonderful hosts to us , and made us feel very welcome. The hotel offers sauna , a hot tub and massages apart from the outdoor pool . We stayed there 3 nights and it rained all the time which made the place even more magical and warm . It also has a good bar and offers home cooked meals which are delicious. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back .

Verified reviewI don't usually write reviews on my stays, but I must HIGHLIGHT how GOOD this place is, the photos that are here in Booking do not honour the reality of this hotel, it is simply spectacular! They take care of all the details, the hotel is located in a nature reserve near the Villarrica Volcano (they have a viewpoint to see it), the facilities are straight out of a movie, the rooms are excellent, the attention of Cata and Alejandro makes your stay even more pleasant. To rate this place a 10 would be petty, this place is a 20 all the way!
