The whole this was just brilliant. My boyfriend and I were very ill when staying here and the team working looked after us so well. They cleaned our room, organised transport to hospital, cooked us food and were so caring. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were as comfortable as possible.

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the main street, yet tucked away enough to be peaceful and quiet at night. Perfect for a good night's sleep without any disturbances. The host was incredibly warm and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to assist us and make our stay more comfortable. We truly appreciated their hospitality. The room was cozy and nicely decorated, and the shower was great — good water pressure and temperature, which made for a pleasant experience. Breakfast was simple in terms of variety, but everything was fresh and delicious. A lovely start to the day! Highly recommended — would definitely come back!

Maybe there is not enough privacy in the common area because the rooms are too close to each other. But in San Pedro you will always be busy with some tour, so this is a minimal problem.

Perfect hot shower (important in a desert with water shortage). Triple room spacious enough but for two people. Impeccable cleaning. Simple but carefully prepared breakfast. Mini-market nearby for small needs. That said, Hostal Solor is an excellent choice if you want to stay in a quiet place, close to the bus station but only 10 minutes walk from the center.

Alejandra was a thoughtful and caring host. Located a few minutes walk from the main street in a no-through road, it is super quiet at night. The room itself was extremely comfortable.

Hostal Solor was the best option for what we wanted in San Pedro. As a couple, we wanted a cozy place a bit outside of the main street, but in a walkable distance, with easy acces for the roads and attractions. We got it. As we arrived, Fernando welcomed us with all the necessary information and we felt great since the beginning. Thanks, Fernando! Neighborhood is a find: there is an excellent simple family run restaurant in the same block, with tasty food and fair prices, and we had lunch there when we arrived and in the following days. There are also several conveniences for food and drinks, plus it is close to the bus station. The room is simple and small, but we had everything necessary, including a good table for working, a fan and a spacious closet. Extremely clean bathroom, sheets and towels were also available. Alejandra, the owner, was always worried about our health (sunblock, dry air, altitude etc.) and always willing to give us the best tips and information. There is a cozy external area which we enjoyed for having a glass of wine and empanadas. Breakfast was complete, tasty and generous, nothing wrong about it as I had read before in some other reviews. I totally recommend the place as a heavy booking user.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Tehy did not speak English, but using our phones for translation, we had great communication. The hostal is nice and cosy. We had an apartment, not a room.

The toilet paper must have been thrown in a bin instead of the actual toilet, but that's just me being picky. Perhaps the breakfast could have had more options.

The caretaker was the cherry on top of the place. He was the one cleaning, cooking and doing all the little chores at the hostel. Very welcoming and reliable. He was there to assist for any query.

- The room could do with better heating other than a gas heater that smelled (and probably leaked gas), but that is a challenge anywhere in San Pedro - cash payment only, but we were informed in advance

- cold at night, but electric blankets helped a lot - clean - basic but well-equipped kitchen - friendly owners - private, secure parking space - comfortable beds - walking distance to the town centre - quiet location - optional breakfast - small terrace outside

Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but it is understandable in such a small hotel. We went out to have brunch in several locations, so this was not really a problem.

The location is excellent, a 10-minute walk from the centre. The staff is friendly (although be prepared, they don't speak English). The rooms are all right; you can stargaze from the garden. It's really good value for money. We were there during the winter, and although I was prepared to be cold, the heating sheets were amazing!

The bed has rolls and was thus always moving away if you wanted to sit leaning on the wall. Maybe they could add something as a breaking system. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything that is going on in the corridor. It would be great if we would be able to use the kitchen (besides the use of the microwave).

They were so kind to pack breakfast if you have an early excursion. The heated blanket is a great plus and the accommodation is clean.

Alejandra and Ana were the most fantastic hosts of this hostal, they were excellent at communicating, kind, friendly and went above and beyond. The bed was very comfortable, room was clean and cosy. It felt like staying at home. Would absolutely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Hostal Solor! Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious! The location was on a quiet dead end street which was great for us parking our rental car (never had any issues finding a spot), but still easily walkable into the main part of town.
