Security is limited, but there is little crime on the island.

Basic island-style budget rooms with bathrooms and kitchen facilities, just a short walk to downtown and the waterfront. The staff are lovely and will meet your arrival and departure flight.

Catalina was excellent, providing lots of information, a city tour and being available at all times to assist. Room in hostel part was comfortable and lead out to garden. Hot water in private bathroom. Well equipped communal kitchen. 500m from main centre of Hanga Roa.

It would have been nice to have my room cleaned at some point during my stay and it would have been good to have some cupboards in the kitchen for guest food as someone ended up stealing some of mine because I had to leave it on the side.

It was in a good location close to town, easy 5 min walk from shops and the host was so friendly, collected me from the airport (without me requesting!), showed me around town, helped me sort clothes washing and gave me lots of free bananas. The room was comfy and the bathroom always had hot water. Communal areas were kept clean.

Would love to have one time a cleaning do to my 8-day stay

Shared kitchen with fridge and all to be able to make home cooked meals, nice details like flowers on bed, cute sheets. Nice accommodation with garden and option to use big girl. Very friendly host who you could text and checked in from time to time. Also showed the island!

Only small thing was that the walls are thin if other people are in the next room.

Lovely basic accommodation in a quiet area of town. I don't do fancy places on islands so this was perfect. Clean with a full shared kitchen. Very comfy bed. Three mins walk to main street with car rental at the bottom of the street. The host was lovely even though he spoke minimal English, but we got by with Google translator. They collect you from the airport with the traditional flower garland and drop you back there with the gift of a necklace. Would definitely recommend it for a great price .

The accomodation is nice and clean. It is very quiet but still central. Andres was a great host, he showed us around in town and drove us to the airport at the end. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. There’s also the possibility to rent a car from him, which is way cheaper than at the rental companies.

Between hostal and downtown nearly 20 minutes walk so consider took every materials you need. This is not a bad thing but just a hint.

Really good and peaceful place. Clean, safe and calm. The boss Marcelo and his asistant Andres fully involved with your needs. Especially Andres arranged tours and guides in a very limited time. Also Mahatu helped by whatsapp and make arrengements. Nice place with nice hosts.

- Amazing hospitality by Mahatu 😊. She personally did the airport pick and drop for us, complimentary. Upon arrival, right from the airport, she drove us around to show the important places on the island, like where is centro, where to buy national parks park tickets etc. She was always available with a response/recommendation whenever we needed it. - Nice comfortable bed - Spacious room - Equipped shared kitchen - Good location, walking distance from center - Option to rent a car directly for an affordable price

A desk and chair in the room would be nice. We could not find a hairdryer. The rooms can get very damp. A microwave in the kitchen would be a good addition.

Mahatu, the owner, makes you feel very welcome. The rooms were clean, large enough and comfortable. The location was good. Internet was fast (Starlink). Overall, good value for money in the expensive Rapa Nui.

Mahatu is a lovely host, very attentive and kind. The room was simple, functional and clean. Great location. The airport is walking distance but pickup and drop-off was provided. Laundry service is also provided upon request. Could also rent a car straight from the host. Overall can only recommend.

The internet signal was very weak and we didn't have it in our room. It was kind of available in the kitchen but it was very poor. Suprasingly a toilet paper refill is not available... For one evening and night there was no power - since it happens on the island it would be good if at least the property was better prepered for that (have some lights and candles ready etc)

The huge benefit of staying here is a possibility of renting a car for a very good price (we paid 90.000 for 3 days). Location was also pretty good and the kitchen. Room and the bathroom were spacious.

Owner is a sweet lady. We travelled in a group of 8. She met us at the airport. We had a smooth transportation to the hotel. She also drove us to the crafted market and picked up us at the museum in a rainy day and didn’t ask us to pay. We insisted to pay for gas as minimum . Big thumbs up for this property!
