How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Couldn't find a corkscrew in our kitchen, which was reasonably outfitted otherwise, for our wine! I'm sure they would have found me one if I had gone to ask.
Great view of the city waterfront as it sits atop a hill. The main living room was very spacious and surrounded with glass windows. Nice to be on the second floor so we could take advantage of that view and not have to keep curtains drawn for privacy. The ground floor apartments would not have the view. Heated by wood stove, and wall heaters in the bedrooms that came on around 11:00. Woodstove was easy to light (discovered later that the wood had been dipped in a magical lighting fluid which i suspect was diesel). Very clean, check in was friendly and easy. Consistent water pressure and heat in the showers! There is a large dining space upstairs that you have full access to, so if you were so inclined you can bring your food/take-out to that space. Pool wasn't open because we were there later in the fall, but hottub was. About a 15 minute walk down the hill to the waterfront area. A small store 200M away at the street corner sells wine, beer, and baked goods -- super convienient.

The product that they used to clean has a very strong smell (maybe it is not being diluted properly) the first day we arrived, I even got a headache from it!
The view from our room to the lake and volcanoes were amazing!, the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean.

Its a little bit outdated, but this is what we expected based on the photo’s so it was not a problem for us.
Superfriendly staff!! They helped us fixing our laundry. It is a cute family hotel. Parking the car is super easy and convenient.

Would willingly pay more for a kettle cups tea and coffee in room. That said staff will willingly give you a cup of tea or coffee on request.
Wonderful stay. Great value for money. Staff fabulous. Spotlessly clean. Amazing view. So comfortable. Would stay again. Loved it.

The 3 bedroom apartment was great for our group. Wish breakfast was included since there are not many walkable dining options. Views were nice!

Lots of little things didn’t go well. Only towels in our bathroom, no hand towel or foot mat. These appeared after 8 pm. The safe didn’t work. Needed a couple of trips to reception to sort out. Similar with the wifi. Breakfast a bit soulless… the coffee was cold. Overall a bit tired and not trying hard to meet travellers needs anymore.
Clean and the property itself is spacious.

The Wi-Fi isn’t very strong so keeps dropping out and our first set of towels had a musty smell - they were replaced by ones that smelled better though.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is in a quiet part of town but walking distance to the centre (approx 15 minutes walk). For the price this hotel is good value for money.

The Saturday front desk person way overcharged us for our laundry. We’ve been having it done all over Chile and it’s never weighed more than 5 kilos. She charged us for 12!!! When we complained, she was rude but reduced it to 8 which was still ridiculous.
Great value and near a nice neighborhood. Wonderful views!

Virtually no English spoken, maybe slightly too far to walk to/from town for dinner after a long day out. Randomly had a DJ playing until quite late outside on the first night we arrived.
Good value, room was comfortable and great views of the lakes and volcanoes. Always parking available and neighbourhood is very quiet.
