Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAirport pick up was on time and in a very clean minivan. Staff at the hotel were excellent and very helpful. We were able to check in early - which was really good after 12 hours of flying. Our room was very clean with modern facilities. We had the buffet breakfast, which consisted of a large spread of different foods. Located near restaurants and a supermarket. Would highly recommend this hotel.

AustraliaThe hotel is dated and finishes are old and worn. The buffet breakfast was average, and rooms didn't have smart TV's or USB outlets. The gym was ordinary and the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. It would've been nice to have been notified about this as it's one of the reasons why we chose the hotel. Overall the hotel doesn't present as a 5 star facility.
Decent location. Comfortable bed.

SlovakiaBreakfast did not correspond to the hotel rating. Only a smaller part of a free dinner turned out to be free. I ordered a room for 3 persons on booking.com, informed the hotel about it, and they wrote back that they were ok with it, but a lady at the reception was wondering why we were 3 for the room.

AustraliaSeems to be on the rougher side of 'nice and leafy ' Santiago. Saw some demonstration/or was it celebration (?) Outside the hotel. Even hotel staff reminds you to never have your phone out while walking. We paid in USD cash on checkout but hotel made another charge against my card - luckily I saw it a few days later and the transaction was cancelled after I queried it.
Staff were very helpful arranging private tours, comfortable beds

BrazilOn Fridays, the demonstrations continue in the vicinity of Baquedano square, making it difficult to leave and arrive at the hotel. This is not a hotel problem but a current situation in the region, which is apparently decreasing over time.
I had a great experience with front desk service. The attendant not only helped me buy tickets to visit Cerro de San Cristóbal, but also paid for the tickets with his personal card so I could go up the hill via the funicular and go down by cable car, because my credit card was not accepted by the company's website. As I went to Santiago on business, I chose the location of the hotel because it was possible to walk to the office every day. I consider this a positive point, as I was not in traffic and was still able to take a walk observing the rhythm of the city. The hotel is well located, with great availability of transport via metro, bus, car.

United KingdomOnly one lift was working, erratically, for a 21 floor building. Average time to move between floors was 15 min (and stairs are interrupted at the 3rd floor). This has apparently gone on for months to the despair of the staff and other residents. Areas such as changing rooms are very dirty and run down. Definitely not a five star standard.
The location is OK and the room and breakfast were fine.

United KingdomFirst my key card didn't work, I had to go back to reception, the new card didn't work and I had to wait in non-air- conditioned environment for a staff member to help me. Then I realised the lady had not given me the wifi password and it wasn't in the room and then the lift broke and I was stuck for 10 mins going up and down. I was generally unimpressed by the standard and do not think this is a 4* hotel.
The location was good and my room on the 21st floor had wonderful views and was lovely and clean.

United KingdomAlmost everything. The room was damp, the hallway in desperate needs of redecoration, the shower didn't work properly, the room had few power sockets and few worked, the breakfast consisted of the same unimpressive menu each morning.
The location was the only real benefit and the fact that the hop on and off bus stopped at the hotel.

CanadaThey need an ATM in the lobby. Not only would it be great for guests, but it would generate rental. Taxis are dicey in Santiago. Hotel should operate an Uber account for guest use. Guest needs to go out, Uber is arranged and added to bill with small convenience surcharge (5%?). Guest is out and calls hotel to be picked up by Uber. Hotel arranges pick up, adds cost to bill with convenience charge again. I would pay in a heartbeat for this service. Guest is satisfied, more revenue for hotel.
The hotel staff her are exceptional. Adolfo, Christian, Cesar, Richie, Estefany in particular, but pretty much all of them. So helpful and kind in all ways, arranging transport, meeting our needs in the hotel, everything! A wonderful team of people.
