The bathroom smells ( no waste under the sink, so close the plug!!) We were in couple villa, could hear when other adjoining unit door opened. WiFi is only in restaurant area. Small units, no kitchen facilities We didn’t use hot tub as the cost is extra

The room is rather small.

The view from the rooms is incredible as every room is facing the lake. The room was very small so was the bathroom. But everything was clean and the bed was big and comfy. The lodge has a restaurant where we had pretty good pizza and burger. Puerto Rio Tranquilo from where the boots to Cueva Marmol leave is about 20 minutes with the car.

The restaurant is only open in the morning and in the evening. The hottub you have to pay a large additional fee.

For a 3 night stay, we wish the bin was changed once (or an extra bin bag provided for us to change it). The hot tub was expensive (we didn’t use it) and we were not aware of this until after booking. We also wish there was wifi in the cabins, I imagine most guests would be happy to pay a little more for this. That being said these were minor points and we had a wonderful stay!

The location and views are incredible. Even on cloudier days the view of the lake and surrounding mountains is just magical. The lodges are also just a short drive from Puerto Tranquillo where you can book activities like glacier trekking and visiting the marble caves. We liked the good ac/heater in the cabin which kept us nice and warm. The restaurant had tasty pizzas and we could sit in there to use the wifi

The room was a bit smaller than I expected and our luggage made it feel even smaller, although it felt cozy.

The view from the room was unbelievable, the hot tub and restaurant were great, and the staff were very friendly. The room & bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable.

WiFi in the tiny cabins would have been great so that we could arrange our tours in the area. However, WiFi was available in the main restaurant/lodge and was fast and easy to use. When booking, there wasn't a mention of having to pay extra to use the hot tubs located by each tiny cabin. We were surprised and disappointed about receiving notification of that the day before our trip. The price was very high to use the hot tubs, so we didn't use it.

The location is amazing, and our tiny cabin had wonderful views of the lake. Wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the wind and the waves. Food in the restaurant was basic but good, and the atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. A great place to order a bottle of wine and play a board game. We had a wonderful stay at Chalenko. We used the toaster oven in the cabin to heat up left-over pizza from the restaurant which worked out great. We also appreciated the tea pot and coffee available in the tiny cabin.

I can't say that I didn't like anything.

We were delighted with our accommodations at Chelenko Lodge. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. The innovative and well-designed 'container units' were thoughtfully conceived - especially in consideration of the high winds that are 'normal' for this region. The sliding doors were good quality to keep those winds out. There was a small table with two chairs, plus tea/coffee amenities. Slightly cramped, but serviceable. The queen bed was comfortable and linens were fresh, clean and crisp. The small but cozy bathroom perfectly suited the entire suite and the shower water was plentiful and hot! Great to have the marvelous lake view!

Amazing location. Seriously so close to the lake we fell asleep to the sounds of the small lapping waves. Fantastic view. We could hear the people next to us but, for the most art it was quiet. The heating unit was perfect let us warm when we needed it. The bathroom was a good size and the shower had good pressure and was hot. There was an electric kettle And fully set table so we could make our own meals with hot water OR go to the restaurant right on site. There was no internet in the rooms, but there was in the restaurant, which also had plenty of space to hang out on couches and not have to sit at a table. We didn’t use the hot tubs but each cabana has one. Overall, if you think of it as glamping, it was great!

The meals are pretty poor although the pizza on our second night was ok. The staff are not very warm and welcoming. We had a kettle and fridge, it was a shame they couldn't throw in a few tea bags, coffee sachets and a jug of milk.

The location is stunning. The lake view is gorgeous and it is handy to Puerto Rio Tranquilo.
