All in all, nothing. Its everything you could ask for in a resort hotel. If being critical, the outside pier area seemed a bit neglected considering the number of staff to go down and tidy (fire pits dirty, cobwebs) but everything else was spotless and we would love to return.

Attentive friendly staff, beautiful setting. Huge, well appointed rooms. The excursions made our stay, Alan was fantasticly knowledgeable and made us at home. Good breakfast, lovely pool. Decent food on site but also within 20 mins drive of town if you fancy something else.

They didn’t inform us until close to our arrival that their annual maintenance was scheduled during our stay (May). The spa was closed throughout our stay (they did make up for it though), and there was some noise during the day into the early evening for room refurbishments. WiFi coverage and speed was not that amazing in some rooms. We changed rooms and it improved. Bedrooms in need of some maintenance (which was ongoing) - stiff doors, plumbing fixtures loose.

Located in a very tranquil and scenic setting, just over an hour from Puerto Montt airport. Lovely to be based on the water’s edge. The architecture is cool. Beautiful views from the rooms. Service was exceptional and very attentive and friendly. The spa was closed during our stay, but the hotel organised a free trip to thermal baths including lunch for us. Our driver was very friendly. Our room featured a jacuzzi bath which was good. Food was delicious, we were on half board and the breakfast and dinners were excellent. Excursions to self guided hikes nearby were easy. Shop was a nice surprise. Huge comfy bed. Very kind about our babymoon.

We had a wonderful and refreshing stay at Hotel Awa! Our room was very comfortable, clean and had a tremendous view. The shared spaces were very thoughtfully decorated. We didn’t do the all inclusive package but did dine at the on site restaurant for breakfast and for dinner one night. We enjoyed the food and thought the restaurant service was great. We loved the design of the building and enjoyed the beautiful landscaping. I would highly recommend the Llanquihue massage… it was incredible! We can’t thank Matias enough for his help with our rental car situation. We would stay here again!

Can't think of anything.

Difficult to know where to start. The design is amazing, which is no surprise as the owners are architects and interior designers. You can see that influence very clearly. The room was amazing - the layout was perfect and the views are unbelievable. Showering in the massive rain shower whilst looking at Osorno Volcano was special. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and clearly loved working there which is a always a good sign. You felt that they really cared. They have many activities on offer with excellent expert guides employed by the hotel. The restaurant is also excellent - breakfast and dinner was top class. The spa was fantastic - treatments were very reasonably priced but top class and the facilities were quality. Just all round faultless, really. We didn't want to leave.

Very much enjoyed the Awa. We were in a suite which was very comfortable and spacious. There were a few things that were not functional (the blinds) that needed to be fixed. Otherwise, the half board option was appropriate (same menu all the time for breakfast, lunch and dinner). We also had massages which were good. I’d recommend to others.

Some of the restaurant staff lacked training, confidence and supervision. When we had an issue it was avoided to the point we needed to escalate (manager was great but shouldn’t have needed to escalate). This was only a problem on one night the other two it ran well.

Fabulous location, tasteful decor in all areas, great food and very lovely staff. Bar staff mixed some great cocktails to sip with view of volcano. Great base if you like walking

Breakfast was perhaps a bit slow and our shirts came back unironed from the laundry.

The location is excellent to explore the sights around the Eastern part of the lake. AWA is directly on the shore of Llanquihue with fantastic views over the vulcano. There is a little beach to relax if you have time. It's great if you have a room at a higher level with those views. Nice welcome drink and we had half board, i.e. dinner in the hotel restaurant which was very good and came with two glasses of wine included. The head of excursions was fabulous and extremely helpful - we only had one full day but he sorted us out with three activities and tips.

The pool/spa area was nice but needed some extra cleaning to get it up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The windows could have also done with some extra cleaning to allow you to appreciate the view even more.

The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff in particular remembered preferences and showed a lot of attention to detail. The food in the restaurant was delicious - local and innovative. The menu was short but changed every day. Breakfast selection and quality was also good.

Pool was not available, a pity in the middle of the holidays season (was not brought up ahead of arrival). Subpar gym. Little issues with the dining area (weird table disposition, loud music, twee service).
