Reviews of Almabosque Cabañas

It was within walking distance of Puerto Varas but far enough away for quiet. The facilities were excellent. Loved the two bathrooms and the view from the upstairs bedroom! The owner was kind and welcoming. Amazing panaderia right across the street and an excellent breakfast place a few blocks away. Highly recommend!!

All was good.

Our experience at Almabosque Cabanas was stellar from start to finish! We were 2 families with 4 adults and 5 teenagers. The Cabanas were perfect, with ample space for our crew to both gather together and get some space when needed. The location is also perfect, close to the water, to downtown, to everything, yet tucked on a quiet side road. And, most importantly, Julio (the owner and host) is simply amazing. So helpful, warm, and welcoming, it feels like home.

Location quiet and not too far from town. Lovely outside area and very comfortable bed. Friendly host and we appreciated being able to check out a little later as no other guests were imminent. Generally cosy and a nice place to stay

Kitchen quite well equipped but would benefit from some mugs and a larger frying pan. Shower room was okay and there was plenty of hot water. However unlike the rest of the apartment it was cold and uninviting. The shower area was a bit grubby and would benefit from the silicone and grout being redone.

The apartment houses are located in a small forest. Each is unique. Nearby there are good restaurants and the way to the center is not too long in 10-15 min. The hosts are very friendly and easily accessible. For us the stay was a good start for our tour.

Good location; easy to walk into town for shopping and restaurants. The host had good recommendations for a few restaurants very close the the apartment. The area felt very safe.

Can't really blame the host/apartment for this but the quietness/peacefulness/tranquility of the location was broken by the constant barking of several dogs near the apartment. It was rather annoying.

Proximity to puerto Varas, parking

Poor communication by the host- we arrived to hotel within stated check-in hours, and it appeared abandoned. It took 45 mins of contacting host, through booking.com, website, phone, email, and WhatsApp, before she nonchalantly sent someone over to let us in. We booked this hotel as a mid-point during our weeks-long honeymoon, in order to do laundry, as washer/dryer are advertised. There were none in the unit, and we were told the laundry facilities were “not available” that week. We spent 1 night to get rest, then checked out early for a better experience. The room/apartment was damp/musty, and the whole complex seemed abandoned and. We appreciated the proximity to the pizza bar across the street, and the kindness of Nicolas. We never heard back from the owner, despite messaging her before/after. We can’t recommend this place.

The cabaña was comfortable for our family. The host provided a nice baby crib and all the windows had black out shades which helped with naps and early bed times. The breakfast was great and the host helped with all our needs!

There is some loud construction and dogs very close to the property. But it didn’t disturb our stay too much. I would still recommend!
