The roosters.

Te Puka was absolutely outstanding. We were a family group of 14, 8 adults and 6 kids, from 10 to 3 yrs old. There was so much room ,everywhere. The bedrooms, lounges, dining rooms and then all the covered outdoor areas upstairs. And then there was the pool, hours of fun.

The barbecue was a little small for such a big property catering for big groups. The listing was a little confusing in terms of rooms etc but it still worked out fine. A floor plan in the photos would be handy.

We loved that our extended family group of 20 could stay comfortably in the one location and enjoy a pool to ourselves. We also appreciated the bug candles and coils being available to make it more comfortable.

Loved how private it was. We are a big family but Te Puka was perfect. We all had our own space but the veranda was big enough that we could all be together. The large clean pool was a massive hit with everyone. Our daughter also had her wedding at the venue which they catered. It was a perfect location for a small wedding and the catering was fantastic and enjoyed by all. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

We were a school group therefore location was perfect. Slept well knowing our teenage students were not tempted by nearby distractions. Nice and Peaceful - early morning roosters were better then an alarm - venue had all we needed. Very nice place. Although middle of winter, pool was refreshing.

Naughty roosters crowing in the early hours! Though they get you up earlier to enjoy a long fun day in Raro 😎

Nice location and scenery with beautiful plants and trees of all varieties. Phillip and Francie are good hosts, very calm and warm hearted people. The pool was awesome, the kids loved it. Kitchen was well equipped, loved the multiple ceiling fans also.

Nothing could have been better!!

Our host Philip met us at the unit when we arrived and explained everything to us and then left us in peace. Nothing was a problem for both him and Francie, we were upgraded to an upstairs villa and there was nothing to not like. Would recommend and will certainly be booking again when next back in Rarotonga. We hired bikes so even though Te Puka is off the main road, this was not an issue for us but you would need to either have bikes or a car.

it was so hot at night and no way to cool the room down. Also the kitchen cupboards were a musty so had to wash plates and cutlery before using. The water didn't taste great - came through a filter so bought bottled water. Fridge in the main bedroom so was a bit awkward having to go into someone elses room when they're asleep. Minor issues though.

lovely pool right outside our room. Nice having just a few other guests who were really friendly. Easy parking, no traffic noise at night just the odd dog barking and a chorus of hens and cockerels in the mornings.

I liked the peace and quiet away from the ocean as you were surrounded by the green bush of the inland valley. The pool was a godsend after hot days spent at the beach. Not far from Muri, the location was excellent. It could also cater for larger groups and the hosts were excellent and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

Absolutely loved being away from all of the hussel and bussel and be able to just relax 😌 would love to thank our hosts Phillip and Francie for having us in their beautiful paradise, we felt warmliy welcomed from the beginning to the end 😊 of our family holiday..They went above and beyond for us and our stay thanks again and appreciate everything you did for us.

millipedes at night… but what are you going to do 😂 easy to get rid of

it was soo nice! perfect for a family trip away, loved that it was quiet at night besides the odd rooster! the owners brought us fresh bread from there bakery and the focaccia bread was the best thing you’d ever tried in your life 🤤 we had a great time got to play loads of card games, washing machine and full sized fridge was such a life saver! throughly enjoyed this place perfect to acces with a rental car gives you freedom but also privacy away from resorts ☺️ we had a lovely black sweet cat come visit us regularly giving us smooches and love and the two dogs such beautiful souls really makes it feel like home away from home 🥰

Perhaps a poolside shower to rinse off rather than using a bathroom before jumping in the pool. Not a biggie but if you only booked the upper units it could be a little inconvenient.

Great place for groups as we had our entire family (x18) staying together. Beautiful surroundings & views with a great pool to cool off in (salt water) Bonus that everyone could be together as well as have their own space when needed. Ceiling fans kept rooms cooler than I'd expected so comfortable even with the heat. Plenty of towels provided which is normally not the case & all units were well stocked with kitchenware, crockery, glasses etc. Loved there was filtered water available easily accessible for everyone. Gas BBQ & charcoal cooker put to good use. Hosts were close by & very accommodating.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The hosts were amazing!!! Very helpful and approachable. Great to have a fully equipped kitchen, with a washing machine and salt water swimming pool. Such a beautiful place!

Inconvenient location especially without transport, didn’t realise how off the grid this place was, no cell service you have to go in certain areas to be able to get service, cell service was poor couldn’t even use data, have to pay extra for wifi that constantly cut out. Honest feelings towards this place -I didn’t feel comfortable at all, got quite eerie vibes from the owner wasn’t really comfortable with him lingering around the way he did, I wouldn’t take kids here personally. Interaction with owner was odd. Nice place but for me personally I wouldn’t return. Unsettling and eerie vibes
