The bed sheets were way too stiff and not comfortable enough. Additionally, it was a bit difficult getting around the island without having access to a rental vehicle. There are no public transportation nor a reliable taxi service.

The lagoon at our doorstep was wonderful and filled with sea creatures. Having it so shallow was very useful for our young infant who was able to walk around safely without fear of being too deep. The quality of the room was also a very pleasant surprise.

The place was spotless & very spacious.. comfy beds and couch.. loved that there was aircon & ceiling fans in the lounge/kitchen/dining & both rooms.. the view from the bar & restaurant was priceless, even got to see the whales.. the staff were AMAZING for catering to my every need and making sure we were okay & had everything we needed.. the pools were awesome.. the food at the bar & restaurant was amazing too.. absolutely loved that we had our own washing machine & drier too..!! As well as the washing powder being provided by the resort..!! Would recommend this place to anyone & everyone..!! Will be rambling on about my experience here for a while..!! It was my first time in aitutaki & they made it a memorable one..!! Also celebrated my mums 70th birthday there.. amazing..!!

There was nothing I didn't like , only suggestion would be to have a small shop as the closer place is about 10 minutes away if you are looking for a small snack.

Restaurant severed fresh tasty food by friendly staff, place was clean, staff were helpfully and informative. The beach location was perfect and there was a variety of water equipment to use as part of your stay.

Great hotel, great location, great staff and a highly recommended restaurant - price/value is fair (you see often locals coming). Also breakfast is from our point of view sufficient and we didn´t really miss anything. The hotel is very well taken care of where you will find everything in good order. Just go and enjoy :-)

The design is very odd - no tropical resort vibe here, more like a cheap motel. Worst breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen.

The only two constructive criticism I would say is to varie the food in the breakfast buffet, it would be nice. Also if the dance group could stay a bit after so we can take pictures with them.

The facility is very well maintained and clean. The view is beautiful, it is located in front of a lagune! The location is also convenient , near a small market and liquor store. The staff is very kind and helpful! A special kudo to Violetta at the restaurant, soooo sweet! We also enjoy a lot the island night with the buffet and the dance show.

From the moment Trevor the legend was at the airport to collect us, to the moment he dropped us back to the airport 3 days later, every minute spent at Resort Tava’e was truly wonderful. Our beachfront accommodation surpassed our expectations. Stylish, fresh, clean, comfortable & as private as we wanted it to be. Staff at check in were warm, welcoming & helpful. The Restaurant/bar was fabulous, and the 'Mahi goes bananas' was not only the best meal of our holiday, but one of the best meals we have eaten anywhere. Violetta, Alone and the team looked after us, laughed with us & made sure the memories (and photos) we took home would be special. A lifeguard patrolled the beach front all day every day, with plenty of water equipment & vests available & the two pools in the centre of the resort were sparkling clean and well maintained. A must for a fun inexpensive way to see every inch of the Island is hire one of their scooters, also well maintained and one of our favourite parts of the trip. Aitutaki is served well by this fabulous resort and its beautiful staff.

We didn’t like leaving!

Loved everything about Aitutaki and Resort Tava’e was fantastic. Pick up from the airport, fantastic snorkeling right in front of the resort, paddle boards and kayaks available. Staff so friendly. The restaurant was great, magnificent seafood. We ate breakfast and dinner there every day. Scooters for hire at the resort. All so easy. We will be back !!

Add granola to the breakfast buffet.

This was a lovely place to stay. The staff were all really nice - friendly and helpful. The location and facilities were great and we loved the Island Night buffet. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and it was awesome to have the option of self catering If you wanted. You could rent scooters from the property and they did a complimentary airport shuttle. Highly recommended.

Our only issue was the restaurant closes reasonably early and you need to book so if you are flying in on the last flight maybe book before you get in or alternatively eat before you fly over. The staff sorted us out which was great but we now know for future.

Greeted at the airport in traditional island style, showed to the room and looked after for the entire stay. Despite Lagoon tours being booked out they found us an awesome guide, everyone on the Island knows each other and we were able to get out and see things on a private tour much cheaper than if we had booked before arriving.

A very clean and new resort right on the beach, owned and run by friendly and helpful locals. Spacious room with a front porch facing the pool, although it was too cold to swim. We enjoyed strolling along the beachfront and breakfasts on the deck facing the clear blue water.
